TEXAS TOM'S — Restaurant in Independence

Inflation is real. So my wife and I go to this business to order food, and was expected to pay extra for sauce that should have been part of the service. We wanted the flavored wings but was told we'd have to pay extra$2 for them to put flavor sauce on the wings. We questioned the cost because the menu clearly says flavored wings, but we were still told because they had to put the sauce flavor on the wings themselves it would be extra. So we say ok then put it on the side . They said we still would be charged for the flavor. I have never heard of such a thing, even KFC gives you free sauce. This was my first and last time visiting this location. So if you decide to give them some business, don't forget to bring your own flavor sauce, probably ketchup too. I have been there over 10 times, when family members come to visit have introduced the new texas toms to them. We have always had great service even the people taking our orders. But today was not that way the lady at the register was very rude. And if you order a sandwich we'll done look for the meat on the bun to be put on the bread like puzzle pieces. I ask for another sandwich to be made and she argued with me. But finally remade the sandwich for me and the person who gave it to me I thanked him for this and he was rude as well. Sure missed the nice lady and young man who has very good customer service. Please bring the nice people back. Even the first time we were there the owner or manager was so nice. I don’t normally do this but when it’s deserved, I definitely will. I did not receive half my order I paid for. I didn’t get a whole meal which was for my daughter- season fries, hamburger and jalepeno peppers. What I did end up getting was disappointing. I got a spicy chicken sandwich which in the photo on the menu looked absolutely delicious. However, what I got is pictured. The thinnest, dry piece of chicken. The whole sandwich was about 1 inch thick, compared to the menu pic. I will say, the young man who was working the window was very kind and good at his job.
