Vintage Stock is a great place if you like to get a bargain on used CDs DVDs Blu-rays and Records but do not sell anything to Vintage Stock cuz they will rip you off I understand that when they buy something they have to get it at a great price to be able to make some money on it I understand they got to turn around and make a profit off of what they buy but don't take advantage of the customers I had recently took in some of my dvds, blu-rays, and CDs and I had recently sold a CD box set of the Grateful Dead and I now wish I had not sold it but when I sold the CD box set they had only off for me $10 and would not give me any more than the $10 they gave me yes I had a right to say yes or no if I didn't like the deal that they were offering but when I came back later that day after I agreed to sell the box set to him I had saw that they had a price on it for $100 which kind of upsetting me because they could offer me more if they were going to get that much out of me was upset already for allowing it to leave to be sold to slip out of my hands I let the money do the talking and I am pissed off cuz I did that I wish I had never sold the CD box said cuz I miss it I had not been able to find another box set like that that had all their albums that they had made in their career I cannot really get mad at Vintage Stock because they're in the business for making money I understand that but if you're going to sell your items your DVDs Blu-rays CDs and Records it is best that you try to sell them yourself either on eBay or on Facebook Marketplace or any other website that allows you to sell your stuff so that way you get what you want what you think is best and you're not getting ripped off by some business out there like Vintage Stock. So if you're wanting to sell your collection it is best that you do it yourself and not take it to a store like Vintage Stock that will rip you off but if you are not worried about money and you just need some fast no yes Vintage Stock is the best way to go but if you're wanting good money for your stuff and you know it's worth it then you're better off trying to sell it yourself because like I said and I don't want to sound like a broken record Vintage Stock will rip you off when I give you a fair price or a fair Shake yeah they'll Shake You Down for your items I didn't turn around and sell it to some poor sap that don't know prices and what they're worth and charge them an arm and a leg...
Read moreI don't generally come here if there is ANY other option.
Mainly for the biggest reason in this review, I always get the impression that I'm bothering the employees. I was in the market for a Gameboy color for my 6 year olds birthday.
I called two stores. One of them was fine (liberty) the other was helpful to a point. "Yes we have Gameboy colors, I can't tell you condition or color because they're in a case.".
After arriving at the store and asking to see them (they were in cardboard boxes as "bundles", I'm sure that's to offload their stockpile of unwanted games. The employee made it clear that he had better things to do, just based off his attitude and the fact that he said twice he'd put it at the register until I was done in the store, I wasn't done with him at the counter ... I still needed to look at games. After picking out the Gameboy I was okay with he gave me the line again, didn't wait for a response this time and walked off.
After looking at the visible games in the case I managed to catch the attention of a different employee who grabbed a couple of the games I pointed out. After asking about other games, as the sign says to do, I'm informed that they have a ton but they're in boxes behind the register "kind of alphabetically". Well that's cool and all, and it makes sense to sort them that way but what if I don't know exactly what I want? What if I just want to browse the selection? Why not have a list or binder that can be updated when new games come in? I doubt that's very often, for old systems any way.
After asking for a few letters to flip through the employee was obviously more interested in talking with other customers and walked off.
At that point I let someone know i was done and got out of there.
After getting home two of the games didn't work straight away, after cleaning them they seem to be fine now. The Gameboy was VERY dirty and scuffed up. Not a big deal, I bought a new body on Amazon (very cheap) and it looks brand new. It just gave me the impression that they don't test or clean anything they bring in.
To be fair My wife did not have this experience at all when buying a couple more Gameboy games a day later, although the employee she worked with was new and...
Read moreLoved shopping here even though the customer service is lousy for the most part every time I came in the store the store manager would stare EVERY TIME so I just knew yesterday when I had to return a DVD heâd try and pull something but I tried him anyway ,by the way I never return dvds and spend a lot of money here. I had 2 dvds put in the hold box I arrived yesterday to pick them up they were 2 seasons of one of my favorite shows I was so excited. I just left after purchasing on my way home I discovered one of them was exactly the same as the other once opening the plastic that comes wrapped, the cover art on one box was different and said something different from what was inside. Initially I was buying the 5 &6th seasons but instead I got two copies of volume 6. I immediately turned my car around and headed back probably gone for 10 minutes, I Explained to the store manger what I explained here he first told me âheâll have to check the disk because we wouldnât have bought them like this so he checks them then lies proceeds to say theyâre all in Chinese I knew that was a bold faced lie and disregarded it ,I told him season 6 was correct he said âI donât see how that is and itâs Chinese â none of the disk were Chinese either he told me I couldnât get a refund or exchange I got mad of course he threatened to call police of course but I got it exchanged elsewhere but in all honesty this was a eye opener to everyone check your dvds be4 u leave and I think the store manager was racially profiling buuuut itâs not like saying that will matter just throwing it out there I will never shop here again however thank u to the two younger gentlemen who...
