My experience was a nightmare!! Let me start with the rude, trashy, female bartender. While standing waiting on a drink I was subconsciously playing with the 20's I had in my hand when I was yelled at and asked "are you snapping your fingers at me" caught off guard not even realizing who she was speaking to at first eventually I simply replied "no". Subsequently, she finally made our shots and I tipped her a dollar based on rudeness. As we continued our night and it was time for another round I went back to the bar and was told by a different bartender "we don't serve people who don't tip" at this point and after a few drinks I flipped out. I probably used a few words I shouldn't have but I was over it. The employees began yelling at our party to "get out". Eventually the same bartender that asked if I was snapping at her called the police. Before the police arrived we removed ourselves from the situation but the rest of our party was interrogated for over 30 mins. In the aftermath of this debacle I've have come to learn that this is a common practice at this bar. The bartenders start crap with patrons and call the cops at minimum of twice a week. I can't imagine the owners of this establishment know what's happening at their bar. We were there to have a good time and spend plenty of money after a company Christmas party, but we feel as if we were targeted for being dressed nicely and not looking...
Read moreOK, this place is a trip. Our waitress from Smokey Bones, Katilyn suggested we stop in. There are no words to truly describe this bar. Our first time we met Jenny and her dog Charlie. I'm not a huge dog fan, however if a dog similar to Charlie dropped into our lives I would LOVE that. There are no limp wristed pours here, we can attest this after 3 visits and each one ending our day early. (oops) We met a hand full of really cool locals that went out of their way to suggest places to fish, to hang out, to eat. We can't say we'd like to be there at night, it's a little Closter phobic, however day drinking is the way to go while on vacation. We left a few business cards hanging in the celling to commemorate our stay. If you don't like dark and dingy, hole in the wall, small town type bars with beers in cans, this isn't your type of place. The fancy overpriced tourist traps are up the street in Clearwater. We will definitely stop in again next time we're in town. Derek,...
Read moreThe employees were absolutely fantastic and they had 100 percent upmost respect when I got welcomed in as a guest. My first experience with the bar itself, was unique and I felt like a part of the team. June 8th of 2020, on my birthday, I was impressed with the privilege of being served with the drinks I consumed to celebrate my birthday. The senary was awesome, and the team members were unbelievably professionally conducted by coordination. I miss Florida, I hope to move back soon, so I can have a new opportunity to be once again welcomed to the best of the best bar I've ever been to. I like the way the team members kept themselves busy, but most of all, I respect the fact that it was a drama free and violent free environment. Cheers to you all involved with the team of Mahuffer's Bar, I hope to see you all again soon. Stay safe and maintain the honor of your efforts with your excellence in the loyalty, honesty, and trustworthiness you...
