This is a new fashion restaurant with issue the way of tip being asked
In the traditional restaurant, will have host to take customers to the table; serve menu, drinks, table should’ve setup in advance, serve appetizer if any, main course, server should check on customer if anything is OK at least once during the whole meal, pick up the dirty dishes in between then serve a check and exchange/receipt, pack for to go box, etc.
But in this restaurant, you will have to do the most of yourself; ex, wait and line up to be ordered yourself, look at the menu which is like 12 feet away with small fonts. You setup the table and get the water yourself, no dirty dishes pick up and no ask for caring if anything is OK; so they pretty much just serve the food and bus the table…
But it asks for the tips and suggested from 15, 18, 20% of tips in advance when you make order?!
1 – How do I know what kind of service I will receive throughout the whole meal, so I can’t just assume the whole service will be up to the standard until at the end of the whole process! But they programmed to ask for the tips input in advance when you order.
2 – If a traditional meal, service tips standard is 15%, then this restaurant requires the customers had to serve ourselves most of the process. What is the right % of tips you guys think should...
Read moreBeing this is our first time going to Be’s Noodle. The place looks pleasing and clean. Order food. Prices are a little high compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. Spring rolls are a good portion. The Pho is not good. Tasted like broth bought from local grocery store with rice noodles. Done and served. Also ordered Banh Mi waited forever. Finished half of my Pho and my Banh Mi was still not ready. Started questioning if it was going to be made. Finally the guy with glasses started making the Banh Mi. Which he was clearly on his phone for 20mins before it was made. And it was not busy. While we were dining in trying to eat. Glance over to the prep station. BOY! was that a mistake!, saw him on his phone put his phone away grab the bread. Toast It put all the ingredients, went to make drinks. Answer his phone. Make Banh Mi again. Touch his face. All this without gloves or washing his hands. Touching fresh food and drink machine, counter, and personal items without washing hands or using gloves. I had to get up and leave. In times like today where people are all worried about germs, diseases. And sanitation. Be’s noodles definitely did not care. Oh and bathroom horrible! I guess they only clean them when they are about to close. from what it seem like today. will not be going back...
Read moreLove love Be Noodle & Banh Mi. And now BOBA!!! So nice to have another Be’s location in addition to the one in Ballantyne. Same chef/owner and same quality!
First of all we need to address the cherry on top at this location. The boba tea & smoothies. Best in extended South / SE CLT area. I just love how the boba pearls have the slightest flavor of honey (don’t know if any in there - just a very pleasant flavor to me) and just the right amount of “chew”. Don’t like when they are mushy with no texture or hard. These are perfect. When can we get this at the Ballantyne location? Please??? In the meanwhile I’ll make the drive... can’t not - too good!
The pork banh mi is so flavorful and my goodness the special mayonnaise spread on the bread! What a great meal.
I could eat the rolls (crispy or fresh) daily.
Haven’t yet had the pho at this Be’s location but will. Love it at Ballantyne. My favorite is pho tai - on menu as sliced filet mignon.
Agree - unclear what some earlier reviewers talking about (copycat?? / not correct??). Perhaps they’re confused. Seems unlikely they actually came in /...
