EDIT: my 3rd visit and they are losing my faith. Going downhill for me. I think the food was better when they first opened. This time I got a Buffalo Wrap. This is nowhere near restaurant quality like my first visit. This is truck driver food. My wrap was a chicken tender cut in half and rolled up. This would have fit perfect in my 2 y/o grandson's hands without dropping any of the contents. I added a pic. ORIG REVIEW: This was my first time eating at a Slim Chickens. The food was fresh. The food tasted good. Chicken was moist and juicy. I actually commented that I felt that my chicken sandwich was equal to what I would have received in a restaurant (exceeding the bun- pic) and I just didn't have to pay for a table service restaurant price. My second time here (now) was equal feelings on taste, freshness, etc... except this time, I felt my sandwich was more fast food. Chicken was smaller than the bun. I could eat it with one hand if I needed to. Brownies are really good! Service has been excellent both times. Facility is clean. My only take away is 1- the front counter person put a medium cup inside a large cup. He must have been double checking that he gave us two cups and used his fingers inside the medium cup to pull it out of the large cup. Then let it drop back in and handed it to us. I could have done without his fingers in my cup. He also talks very low and is a little difficult to understand what he's talking. But he's super friendly and polite. And 2- I wish that restaurants would stop using these metal trendy chairs. Larger, wider bottomed humans do not fit comfortably in them. Read moreI visited Slim Chickens in Indian Trail, NC. I was asking some simple questions about drink options when it became clear to me that there were 2 distinct voices answering me. The 1st voice was the lady who initially takes my order but the next voice was someone aggressively answering some of my questions. She was so rude over the speaker that when I made it to the window to pay, I asked the lady who was also answering. I inquired because I wanted to ask the employee what was the issue. Why was she speaking to me like that? The young lady apologized and got my food, when she returned the employee I was speaking of came to the window. She again spoke with me aggressively as she was offering an excuse to why she was answering. It was very clear the lady was being rude and did not apologize. I called back to obtain the information to file a formal complaint. The lady I spoke with was the same lady that was rude and when I asked for the information she asked me rudely did I need her to spell her name out. She also wanted me to know that she was the General Manager. Her name is Veronica. I was very shock that all three encounters I had with her she was so rude and treated me with no respect. Imagine spending your money only to be mistreated by a general manager. I could only imagine how she treats staff if this is how she treats customers. Whether she thought she wasn’t rude or not, once I expressed my dissatisfaction, at the minimum she could have sincerely apologized and this could have been over as soon as it started. Read moreThis place is a joke… I ordered thru the slims chicken app and was excited because we have been waiting for MONTHS for the place to open though it was delayed multiple time. So we order and figured we would try a little bit of everything. We spent $70+ on our food, the app I guess has dashers pick up the order I guess. We get our food, and the 3 large sodas we got with our food was dumped everywhere an could only salvage so much of the food. Called the store and they told us we would have a credit. No problem I understand things happen. Called the store to get my order replaced the gentleman on the phone read me back my previous order and told us to just give our name and they would make it. Get home and this is not my previous order… they gave us no wings, the wrong wraps, did not give us our potato salad, drinks nor our fried pickles. They also told us a free dessert would be supplied and that wasn’t there either… very disappointing. I really wanted to be a regular customer but that’s not going to happen.
