I'm A CB NUT! Because where else can you get food that looks & tastes like homemade (& I didn't have to lift a finger?) .PLUS where can you shop in an Old Timey store (Outside of Frankenmuth?) I've been to THIS branch 3-4 X, because it's convenient. I've spent a LOT of money- WATCH THEM! They have chrgd for food we didn't get! The time before last, the mgr comp'd my meal- it was burnt inedible they never offered any replacement and I went away VERY HUNGRY! So, you can see how loyal we are to come back! We have experienced CB from upper Mi, all the way down to lowest KY, so, we know how things should be in general, and this time EVERYTHING was AWFUL, from the cleanliness, not given enough silverware so my food got cold because- inattentive waitress, , attitude of the waitress, all the way up to the mgr! I'm disabled, and in respect of your super tight aisles NOT being wheelchairs accessible, I didn't force using my wheelchair. Instead, I took my cane, causing myself great pain.& significant fall Risk with assoc. brain bleeds etc. By the times we got to sign They were able to CLEARLY see my pain and disability, and yet they STILL told me it was going to be 30 minutes, and didn't even offer me a chair to sit! We had to move so we decided to shop. When we were done, I was SO BAD I had to be partially carried, and when we looked down, it had been JUST MINUTES SHORT OF AN HOUR!!! So I hobbled/ was carried back to the desk, and they said "How many today?" like we were new! I said "We're Britton party of 3, and as you can CLEARLY see I'm disabled! You said 30 minutes, it's been almost an HOUR, and you've been calling in people AFTER us!" The guy turns to the girl, because apparently HERE it takes 2 people to do the job, and says "Britton, didn't we just call them a couple minutes ago?" I said "a couple of minutes is a LOT longer than 30 minutes!" I started to get upset, then the girl pushed my TRIGGER! "NO, we called your name long ago, you just didn't respond! So you're going to have to go to the back of the line, and LISTEN this time when your name is CALLED!" OH NO SHE DIINT! ," FIRST OF ALL, look at me! Do i LOOK LIKE someone who should be waiting even a half hour, much less over an hour AGAIN so you can take it out on me to cover up for your lapse in order when you missed calling me, but your fragile little ego can't handle it! So HERE'S WHAT WE'RE GONNA DO: I'm giving you 2 options youseat us IMMEDIATELY, and I will forget about your little SNAFU, OR, I have my son go get my wheelchair, while your people move ALL of your aisle displays OUT of the aisles & make sure all this delicate stuff is bump proof, while the rest ofyour team puts away the $400 worth of products that are behind the counter waiting for...
Read moreAssumed there wld be a wait since we had a party of 8 and they don't do reservations. Host said it wld be "awhile" but never took my name. Over an hour later, we were finally sat, however the seating was too tight when we just passed a table that was plenty big but needed bussed, when I sd we'd rather wait for that table, she sd "It's going to be awhile" in which I responded, "Well, I've already been here an hour so what's a cpl more minutes?" Yeah, well that cpl of minutes turned into almost another hour. A party of 8 standing next to 2 hosts who were very chatty amongst themselves and other customers, whom were all sat immediately, in front of us. Our table was never cleaned off but other tables were. No sense of urgency or even concern of why our party has been standing there for almost 2 hours. 2 employees working the register, clearly noticed us but never sd or asked about our party. Started to feel like we were being ignored on purpose. We finally had to go over the host, asking for someone in charge and request the table be bussed and cleaned so we could finally be seated. We had 3 seniors, one disabled in our party who just couldn't stand any longer. Then when we finally do get seated, the first thing we hear from the server is how she's been working since 9am, double shifts for a cpl of days now. Nothing like waiting almost 2 hrs for no reason and then be made to feel almost guilty for having sat at this servers table. We assumed her minor mistakes with our orders were because she was tired, she was nice enough, and we were just happy we didn't have to wait long for our food. Seen lots of other employees doing nothing, one of them could've offered to help her bring out a tray or 2 since she clearly had a large table and needed the help. This was my family's first year going out to eat for our "Thanksgiving" meal. We will def not be coming here for next year's dinner. I do not believe we have any desire to come here at all after this. Seems like there is a huge disconnect with the employees and customer service. Never had any issues coming here...
Read moreThis review is for ONLY catering related. I have not been at the physical store in Edinburgh Cracker Barrel. I was not the groom/bride but I was in charge of the catering. Overall very GOOD service from the manager I talked to 10/26/2024. I believe the name was Diane. I called 5 hours ahead to make sure all the information was correct and it was. The catering truck came in perfect time and within the time we planned.
Justin and Janie were AMAZING help all the way! From moving things to and through the venue. They helped us set up all the chafing buffet. They taught us how. They got all the food ready to go. They helped us organize everything! Made sure we felt good and safe before leaving.
The ONLY issues were two things, the aluminum pans used were a bit flimsy? Some of the heavier foods like the mashed potatoes caused it to disarrange from the wiring on the chafing pans. So that freaked out the guests initially but a somewhat easy fix with a couple hands to help. But then did realize if you bent the edges it would form a good seal. The biggest issue isn’t necessarily Crackle Barrel’s fault but the company who created the chafing pans and the portable burners. When the food was sitting on top of the open flames, it was great at keep warm however the flame was sitting TOO close to the aluminum pans causing burning of the food. It burnt two chickens and one pan of mash potatoes. So we have to extinguish out all the flames so the food wouldn’t burn. So by the end of the line the food was kinda cold. So Cracker Barrel to save yourself a future headache with other clients maybe buy a different brand or burners that aren’t as tall or have the chafing pans be taller?
Overall great experience! Food was still yummy! It came with all the essentials- silverware, napkins, serving spoons, tongs, sturdy plates. Also had condiments for the food! Definitely recommend to others who want to use them as catering. Just be cautious of the...
