Zales Outlet — Local services in Edinburgh

hidden fees & poor handling.

My uncle came to this Zales Outlet to buy an engagement ring and a watch. He did get both, but the issue started when they offered him a credit card to help with the payments. What they completely failed to mention was the 2% fee he’d be charged when paying it off.

I get it.. credit cards always come with fine print. But realistically, not everyone knows the precautions, and they should’ve explained that upfront! My uncle had no idea, and when he realized more money was coming out than expected, he was understandably upset.

He tried calling corporate, and all they did was say sorry for the store’s mistake, 0 solutions. Then he went back to the store and they simply admitted they “forgot” to mention the fee. We know that, what are we going to do about it?

Thankfully, he was able to go to the bank and get his money back for the ring and the watch..but the 2% fee has yet to be refunded, and honestly, that’s extremely disappointing. What’s worse is that zales didn’t resolve his issue, his bank did.

This happened at the Zales Outlet in Bartholomew County, Indiana. If you’re thinking of financing anything here, ask every single question possible, because they’re clearly not going to be transparent about it. Really disappointed in how my uncle got treated.

This store is always clean and smells amazing. The staff is nice and helpful with any needs you may have. I have spoke to all 4 girls and they are wonderful. They’re all willing to give you information on anything you might ask about. None of the staff pressures you into buying anything, and they let you take your time to look around.
