C'est la vie African restaurant and bar — Restaurant in Indianapolis

This is the best African food place in all of Indiana. I've ate here twice and both times my food is exactly how I want it. I also love this place because she's the only one that cooks with pepper like back home or like you would in your own home. African food should be spicy and delicious, that's why I drive 35 minutes from the east side to the west side just to eat her food. Oh did I forget to mention she make sure you check your food to see if you like it before leaving? So if you go home and say you don't like it, don't blame her when you could've told her in person. I picked up a DoorDash order from this restaurant. I was concerned for the customer I was bringing it to. The establishment has a very overwhelming smell of something rotting in the trash or maybe bodily fluids. There was a mess at the front counter, trays in disarray and crumbs all over it. I can’t say anything about the food, the customer said he always enjoyed it, but I would not eat/order food from this establishment until they clean the facilities and find the source...

Their food tastes really good and they are very generous with portion. However, how I wish they can reduce the pepper, their food is extremely spicy. It would be nice if they put every customer into consideration when adding pepper. Giving 3 stars instead of 5 because...
