Carnitas Y Taqueria La Frontera — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Got a heads up about this place last minute. Glad I called in an order.

This places closes at 9pm I called in an order for carryout at 8:23pm end of day.

I got a variety of tacos to try and this place was on fire with flavor. Each of the tacos had its own flavor for the type each bite deserved all the hype I'm giving it.

Tender meat, juicy flavorful mouthwatering to each bite making that umami flavor pull me in for more. Then I hit that Gordita with that house made love in it hit the spot with crispy bite and soft warm interior love of meat and veggie and cheese. Carnitas flavor took me to town !

This place is as good as any top shops in California I have got to eat with including TJ Tacos and if you know then you know how legit that place is in San Diego.

If you are on this side of town stop by and make sure to try some tacos! I will be back with another review to try the tacos de birra they have on WEEKENDS ONLY so I'm not going to miss trying those and some more items as well.

The staff was friendly had my order within my drive of 10 minutes to get there hot and ready fresh. It was an epic Monday night...

The menu is pretty varied so there's a lot of options and potential here but I ordered tacos and it was authentic just the taste was so bland. After I ordered and was checking my receipt I saw a $5 charge for a drink, pretty overpriced for an horchata, i started looking through the menu again and saw that they have TWO sizes for drinks small and large, it is my first time here and when I ordered I simply asked for an horchata, she didn't ask me what size I wanted or tell me they had different sizes she just charged me the 5.25 instead of $3 for small or asking me, i felt pretty upsold. Not to mention the tacos are $4...sticking to my go to place ten minutes farther away at Red tacos in madison ave I pay $12 for three tacos birria consomé...

We are new to Indy. We have been looking for the one spot that touched our hearts through our stomachs. This is 20 min from us. We have been wanting that one restaurant that got both our breakfast favorites right. Her fav is chiliquiles mine is menudo and let me tell you this we found it right here. Food was fantastic. Service was right. They have carnitas micheladas and chicheron and yes my loyalty.Horchata on point. Reasonable prices. We warmed up our leftovers later and it still hit right. Don't hesitate to try this spot out. You won't be disappointed it's one of those holes in the wall type of spots but if you know anything about that you know real authentic flavors can come from places like this. Chef's kiss...
