DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! The owner and the servers were not only rude but disrespectful! Their website says they open 10-9 on Saturdays. We were a party of 6 adults 3 kids. We arrived at 1130am and they said they don’t open till 12pm. After not allowing us to use their restroom we had to leave and come back. Once we entered they seated us and eventually took our orders. They didn’t even have enough cups. They literally had to wait till other customers finished drinking their own coffee, wash the cups, then disperse them amongst other customers who requested coffee hours ago including our table. Other customers came in after us and were served prior to us and they’d keep using the same excuse “oh your party is so big, your party is so big. That’s why it’s taking so long” as if we’ve never been out to eat before with larger parties…two hours is normal…but 30 minutes from 5 hours of waiting is asinine! It’s to the point we believed they were intentionally serving other races of parties (Caucasian) prior to us even though this is a black owned establishment. We literally were there 4 1/2 almost 5 hours before being served. Meanwhile plenty of people came in after us and were served. We ordered breakfast other people were being served dinner that’s how much time had passed waiting. And after the 3rd hour going into the 4th hour we did become concerned and started complaining and that made us feel like they intentionally started serving everyone prior to us to be spiteful. Then when the food finally comes of course they messed up all our orders up and had to keep sending it back to get it right. My steak was so little like a sausage patty. Highly upset! I ordered cheese on my eggs they brought cheese on the side to put it on my eggs bc they didn’t make it correctly. Which I thought was unprofessional but I didn’t want to wait another 4 1/2 hours to get my food back so I just accepted it. The eggs were cold so the cheese didn’t melt on the eggs when I sprinkled them on there. The Arnold Palmer was sour. I took two sips then sent it back for coffee but I had to wait till other customers were done w their coffee to get my coffee which was 45 minutes waiting. They still charged me for the Arnold Palmer and REFUSED to take it off my bill. I asked why when I only sipped it before sending back immediately Aries the server said “you still drank it so” Because the portion OF MY FOOD was so small I was still hungry I took some of my mom’s potatoes and ate them and they put fried potatoes on my bill. At this point the long wait, the below part service, messing up our orders, adding things to our bills that we didn’t even order, REFUSING to remove items that were disgusting we requested a discount for the inconvenience. They took $3 off and charged us each $10 large party. When I asked why won’t you be considerate and be professional? Aries the server walked away like I wasn’t talking to her. I said we will never come back and Aries said “that’s fine!” Just as Brody and disrespectful as ever after messing our orders and checks up. We demanded talking to the owner and Aries said “he’s too busy he’s on the grill so it’ll be a long time before he thinks about coming over here”. So if you don’t want this horrible experience and deal with rude servers…GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IMMEDIATELY!! DONT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME COMING! Go to IHOP or DENNY’S where u know you will not be there for 5 hours if your meal is gross they take it off your bill. Where they don’t mess up your order and add things to your bill…oh and no disrespectful servers and the manager will ACTUALLY come...
Read moreOur first time in, we had plans to meet family at 1130am 4 adults. My wife and i arrived around 1120, waited a few minutes to be seated, and the rest of the party was there by 1130. few minutes go by and the server takes our drink order.. approx. 1140 a group of 7 arrives. they are seated after table gets cleaned . One server in the place. Drinks start showing up at 1150, 2 at table ordered adult drinks, one a strawbery margarita and 10 minutes later it shows up as a lime margarita. .. finally takes our food order order around noon. was not asked prior. we wait, wait, table of 7 is starting to get plates...my wifes plate arrived at about 1pm, thats when i noticed that table of 7 was all served. her food was brought with theirs... it was cold. and she had no silverware. caught server after a few minutes to get silverware and ask about the rest of tables food. 5 minutes and we have silverware, no food for others. table of 7, almost done eating. the rest of food starts arriving. recieved mine at about 110. Talking about food now, my wifes was cold and was over salted. coming from her, who is in chemo right now is hard to believe... she has to salt everything and this being too much means its too much. Plus it was cold, she didnt eat 25% of it. Mine come out with no syrup, took over 5 minutes to get that. and my eggs were over salted. it was so much that they were crunchy. im a no salt needed person, so this was a challenge for me. i cant comment on the rest of the food because it was cold by the time i got to it like the french toast..
Main problem- 2 hours, 75% of that was prior to getting food. other problems - charged for strawberry, but didnt get it. Serving 1 at table several minutes before others food is ready. 1 server. serving later arriving party first. and the 1 server who was host as well, knew that.
This whole transaction should not have taken more...
Read moreFirst and most importantly, the food here is phenomenal. We were a party of four and had the cheeseburgers and lunch chicken sandwich with fries and loaded fries, and their sweet tea, strawberry lemonade, and blackberry lavender lemonade. The burgers were cooked perfectly. There was a nice crunch from the bun, meat was seasoned perfectly and it was nice and juicy. Just perfect- everything you want in a burger is right here. Fries were amazing as well- seasoned well with a nice crunch. I’m assuming they hand cut their fries as you get some potato skins fried in there too, which was such a treat. Chicken sandwich was just as tasty, juicy inside, delicious breading, and that honey garlic sauce- well worth the extra charge. It was a nice combination of sweet, salty, and savory. So yummy. The lemonades were great, but that combo of lavender and blackberry- mmmm!
We waited a long time for our food. They thanked us for our patience, were obviously understaffed, and were working their behinds off to try to get everyone everything. When we got there, they had only two people working: the chef in the kitchen and a server/busser/everything else. She was super friendly, to the point, and running her tail off! We walked in around 1:00 and didn’t get our food til 2:20. Don’t let this sway you from the amazing food- just go when you have some time to kill. They had at least six tables of people at the time, so it was still their lunch rush, but man, the food was great. We would definitely come back to try their...
