Carniceria y Taqueria El Ranchito #2 — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I eat at this establishment almost daily. As I work on Sumner street & their tacos are really good. I have to say I'm very disappointed in the service I received today. I purchased 3 chicken (pollo) tacos and was charged and given steak (asada) tacos. When I brought the mistake to the attention of the cashier. She argued with me and stated i would have to repurchase in order to recieve the correct order. I told her I think that is absurd and I will not repay as chicken is cheaper than steak. Another co-worker procceeds to enter our conversation stating Ive done this before. When i corrected her and stated I know my whole staff frequents the resturant and she is mistaking me for someone else.I have never had a problem with my food til today. She (the other staff member) wanted to loud talk me and tell me im not receiving either the food or refund i should leave the establishment with no products or money back, and return Monday when a manager is available. I had contacted IMPD to recieve either my food or refund. When IMPD arrived they magically had a manager on duty and all of sudden didn't mindnd remaking my food. Today was a horrible experience . I asked for the names of the employess and manager so that i may make a complaint. They literally told me they speak no english. So. I thought to leave this review to tell the world spend your money where it is appreciated and not taken for granted. God Bless...

So we placed a order over the phone and when we got there the food was cold I told them I would like it to get remade they bluntly said NO !.....I asked to speak with a manager and after speaking with one they told her they weren’t going to remake it either I was to pay for that cold food or don’t get nothing at all so by then it’s been 25mins that food is even colder now that manager calls her boss or husband idk but at this point all they had to do was remake the food so the manager said that he wasn’t going to come and I had to go well seeing that we just spent 25$ the day before and was coming in to spend more money is this how they treat there own people I bet they wouldn’t I was a new customer why would u guys do this to someone we spent our money with a another restaurant we had no problem going another place .. it would seem like in this business if u knew what was right u would just made the food over u still had to throw it away what do u guys do when other customers say they’re not happy tell them no...

I've been to the store several times and each time I'm a little more confident. The language barrier can be difficult but we do what we can. I suggest a good translation app.

I love their fresh vegetables section. While it's not extensive, the vegetables are large and tasty. I buy my lamb from here bc Walmart and Kroger don't have it anymore. The translation app helps when ordering meat.

Let me tell you right now, the bakery has some beautiful pastries. Wow!!

The store is easy to access in a wheelchair. The aisles are nice and wide. The store was impeccably clean and organized. Prices were reasonable.

I also appreciated the guy who holds the door and brings in the carts, for small tips. He was very polite.
