Unlimited Brunch is available Saturdays and Sundays 11-4. We tried it for the 1st time a year ago on a Sunday when they also have a DJ and Saturday before Mother's Day. I preferred the Saturday experience as it was less busy and not as loud. We were fortunate to get a table on their front covered porch that keeps you out of the elements but still allows the outside air to pass through and have a view of the main drag in Broad Ripple.
They do require that everyone at the table order the unlimited if wishing to try it, but for $25 / person it's a decent deal as you may choose anything from their brunch menu, 1 item at a time (2 hour max). If you're hungry, it's a good way to sample a variety of items. On our Sunday visit a year ago, there were a few occasions where we sat without food waiting for the server to return, but on our recent Saturday visit Brooke was very good about checking in on us and taking our next order as we finished each round. The only real negative on this visit was that a few of the dishes that folks in our party received weren't as temperature hot as they would have liked.
We started with their Chips+Salsa, Guacamole+Chips, and Queso Fundido (served with triangular cut soft tortillas slices). The salsa was good even though it was more runny than chunky, the guac was very good and a nice chunky blend of ingredients, but the queso is a truly addicting baked cheese with cheese crunchies surrounding the skillet. One of the folks in our party even ordered it again later for themselves.
I went with the Egg+Cheese Folded Crispy Tacos for the 1st round. They were pretty good and not what I pictured. They were more like 2 small tostadas that were loaded with egg, cheese, lettuce, guac & sauce. Would do again.
For the 2nd round, I tried the Biscuit + Gravy. I love biscuits and gravy, but I wouldn't order this again. It's a cheddar jalapeño biscuit, which was very good, with a chorizo gravy that isn't your typical sausage gravy. I usually find a little chorizo goes a long way, so it was a just a bit much for me. It also had a sunny side egg on top, which isn't my preference either.
For the 3rd round, I went with Baja San Diego, 2 crispy cod fish tacos with cheese, pico, and cabbage. I very much enjoyed them and would order them again.
Lastly, I finished with the Mole Spiced Cinnamon Roll. It's a decent sized roll covered in diced walnuts and a caramel sauce. My wife thought the cinnamon reminded her of red hot candies, not a bad thing. It was a good way to finish the meal.
Other members did Fundido Sliders (2 pretzel bun angus sliders with queso and pico), which he liked a lot, Grilled Adobo Shrimp Taco, which she said was amazing, Mexican Hot Fried Chicken Waffle, although she didn't love the waffle, and Churro Donuts, which she said were over...
Read moreI would like to start this post off by saying that the first time I came here, I would have given it 10 stars but my experience last night was horrible. I cannot believe how much this place had changed in just a month. We were so excited to come here (especially for the brisket taco which was excellent the first time I came). So we get our tacos and as I am about to eat the brisket, I notice it is absolutely pork, not beef. It also had none of the toppings that were listed on the menu. They literally gave me pork & onions on a tortilla. I have probably only complained at a restaurant once before this in my 28 years of life but I took one bite and it was simply not good so I called the waiter over and said they must have given me the wrong taco. Instead of remedying the situation, he argued with me and told me the brisket was pork taco, not beef. I had to be that girl and pull out the menu to PROVE TO THE WAITER that the brisket was a beef taco. Next, he sent out a manager who could not definitively say whether that was pork or beef. After that came the chef who swore up and down it was beef. Honestly, it was a $4 taco. Just comp it (they didn't). On top of all this, my friend ordered a shrimp taco which clearly wasn't shrimp and they promised they were bringing her another 3 different times. Not sure whatever happened to that taco, but we never saw it. Charged her for it too. My other two tacos were very good but man, I've never seen a restaurant so badly not want to admit that they made a mistake.
Side note: If that was beef as you claim, you need to find a new supplier. And the chefs claims that sometimes beef is that color was easily debunked by a simple...
Read moreI'm so happy I finally got to come check this place out! It's the old 1001, and I love what they have done with the place! I came in the back entrance from the parking lot, There is some awesome ”street” art covering the walls. Plenty of places to sit, bars, tables, and a patio. The brunch is 15 dollars unlimited. So I went to town, I got the eggs Benedict which is my go-to brunch meal, the cactus tacos which were delicious you would think you were eating peppers and eggs. I also had the Mexican street corn covered in spicy Cheetos, which is a nice flavor contrast, to finish was the Mexican chocolate waffle with vanilla custard berries and bananas. All the food was top notch! What's brunch without drinks? I had a bloody Maria which was refreshing with just the right amount of spice and then a Pacifico. Service was friendly quick and attentive! Can't wait to go back and I'll also have to check out the tiki bar in the bottom 🤤
Still love this place, it's one of my favorites and doesn't disappoint the service has always been stellar and the brunch has such great options. The all you can eat is awesome but you can't go wrong with an app and and main course. Decided to split my favorite queso fundito which is very tasty, I like to add mushrooms and then I got the pork belly tostada which was tender, juicy and had a great salsa on it as well. The Bloody Mary is one of my favorites, I order it spicy you can make it a Maria if you want. The snacks that come with it are always fresh. I also had a tasty house margarita with a spicy smoky rim. I'll need to come back for dinner one time soon to expand my horizons but I all around...
