In the social media age you have to be on game when you're running a restaurant. You never know when a food critic or food blogger is going to come into your establishment. I came in today and was severely disappointed in my entire experience. When I entered I saw a "wait to be seated" sign but nobody in the host area. I went to peek into the restaurant area when a young lady asked if I needed help. I told her I wanted to order some food. She took my order at the host stand and I wasn't even offered a seat inside the restaurant or the bar area. I did take it upon myself to have a seat in the bar area where I had an encounter with, who I believe to be, the bartender who snidely looked at me and I said I was just waiting for my order. He obviously wasn't listening because he followed up with "Did you talk to somebody in the front yet?". I got my order fairly quick in a to-go bag, but I don't remember asking for my food to-go. Good customer service can make or break a business. That's my service critique.
Now for the food. I got the All American Burger w/o cheese. When I went to look at the burger itself I noticed that the burger was dry... no sauce. My first bite I found the burger to be bland with a very tiniest hint of salt and pepper with no additional flavor from the missing sauce. This was only the 2nd time I haven't finished a burger while doing a review. I honestly don't know how an establishment with "Burger" in the name can miss so bad making a burger. For seasoning, salt and pepper go a long way. I also use some of paprika in my burgers for just a little something else. As for sauce? If you're not going to season your patties, sauce adds a little something extra. Whether it's just mayo or ketchup with mustard or if you create your own house sauce, you have to have something on there to make your burger palatable.
The atmosphere? The music was quite loud. If people had been there trying to talk, they would have had to try and talk above the music.

Read moreOrdered food the first time, order was incorrect. Fortunately, I hadn't reached my home, so I was able to return quickly.
They corrected my order.
Inside looked great, fun, and comfortable if u like sports bars.
My order was wings, not burgers. Fried potato balls and banana pudding.
Be aware, u only get 7 wings for $11. I never wldv ordered it if I knew that. O do expect 10 to 12 wings wherever I order, geez.
So let's talk food....
Wing variations = 4☆ They hv good sauces. The wings can come crispy if u like.
When i returned to pickup my "corrected order" there again was a problem. My original order was simply to split my wings into two different sauces; easily done at most restaurants. Yet, I come in and the 7 wings are fried but naked....cold sauces on the side!
There looking at me like what's the problem, and I communicate this is the SECOND TIME I've requested my wing order to be split into two different sauces
The lady who checks me out tried to charge me all over again, even tho she just saw me
"I" had to ask for the woman who took my order....she tells me the kitchen "cannot do that (meaning serve a set of wings two sauces"
I'm thinking....can't lol, really?!
Honestly, I was exhausted at this point, so I left.
Fried potatoes = 4☆ Delicious inside but soggy outside bc they put gravy on top. I ate it right away in the car, and the fried was already soggy.
Banana pudding = 0☆ Even tho it says house made custard, there wasn't one wafer in my order. Good thing I ordered the small. And it tasted below average. Granny may like it. I threw it out, I cldnt eat it.
Overall Problems:
There's absolutely no knowledge and communication being shared btwn the kitchen, waiters, and checkout. My goodness.
And no one offered me any concession for having to return, stick around, then having to be stuck with naked wings to dip in cold sauce!
And the woman actually told me to just dip them too. SMH
I'm tired just writing this review but thought I shld advise. Maybe it'll help...
Read more20210213 update. Decided 317 Burger is tops for younger/urban location and slightly more 'nightlife' restaurant, whereas Carmel Burgerhaus for simple/straightforward burger in a more adult contemporary/upscale restaurant. 317 Burger has more of a 'college town' feel, Burgerhaus a tad more 'formal'. 317 Burger has good sweet potato fries with their sweet sauce, Burgerhaus fries fresh cut/full size. Both restaurants top our favorites burger jionts.
prior:
Second visit and tasty burgers as good as remembered. For dessert funnel cake fries with 3 sauces (peanut butter, fudge chocolate, caramel) the latter the best, would have preferred milk chocolate, and no one really liked the peanut butter sauce but you ought to try it yourself. They were out of salt caramel brownies (sacrilege)!
original:
Thursday lunch, light foot traffic = good service & food. Party had shroom angus burger (pretty good), bacon bbq angus burger (best burger of those toppings ever had) and tenderloin (huge meat, small bun esp. bottom; not overcooked/beaten, best eva'). Sweet potato fries (very good, properly cooked), regular fries (good, not mushy). Onion rings - heavy breading so teture rough and overpowered the onion within but I prefer batter so may be desirable for others. Notice is food might be borderline over-seasoned yet does bring out flavor. Likely our place now for quality burgers and sides. Tyler server very attentive, timely, pleasant/polite, high energy which is atypical nowadays you usually get worn, apathetical, snooty wait staff. The place was moderately busy and he the only server, not sure what might be encountered during...
