On busy nights, getting a seat at the sushi bar can be difficult. The wait can go for hours, and your stomach will not be patient for that long. The pleasant sushi chef may attempt to squeeze you in, but it'll inevitably be noisy, the flavor quality will be variable from your usual sushi spot, and you won't know whether you'll even get a seat. Come on over to Sushi Bar and have a good time! A terrific substitute for high-quality sushi, a hearty dish of teriyaki, or steaming udon noodles. People also ask: Who owns the sushi bar? Chef and co-owner Eugene Heng, 27, says The Sushi Bar is a place where he hopes patrons can enjoy truly good Japanese food over drinks and conversation, at an affordable price. The Sushi Bar more than lives up to its ethos, as evidenced by the number of repeat customers. Who created sushi? The History of Sushi. Sushi is said to have originated in China between the 5th and the 3rd centuries BC, as a means of preserving fish in salt. Narezushi, the original form of sushi, has been made in South East Asia for centuries, and nowadays, there are still traces of it in some parts. What does the word sushi mean? sour rice In Japanese, the word sushi means “sour rice” (the rice is traditionally moistened with rice vinegar). The word sashimi comes from the Japanese sashi, meaning “pierce” or “stabbing,” and mi, “flesh” or “body.” Many people associate sushi with a raw fish or seafood element, and it often includes these, but not always. You know you’ve passed by this place numerous times and wondered if it’s any good. This is your sign to try it out! I’m always a little nervous to try a sushi place I’ve never been to. Wednesday evening at 6:30 or so we arrive with plenty of seating. Greeted immediately upon arrival, we needed time to peruse the menu. At first glance, super extensive menu. Something for everyone if you enjoy this cuisine - noodles, simple sushi, gourmet sushi, pot stickers, soups, bento boxes. A real wow factor for me - $3 bottled beer, any beer you’d really want (Miller, corona+). The price was so right we decided to expand our horizons and ordered the Sopparo and another that maybe started with a K. Both were delicious and really nothing out of the ordinary. Food is extremely reasonably priced as well. Once we were in there for awhile it picked up, but didn’t seem that they ran out of seating. You can literally watch the staff make your rolls as it’s a small place. I enjoyed the spicy girl roll, the Tiger roll, miso soup and pot stickers. Would definitely come back and highly recommend this hidden, lowkey gem.

We decided to try this place after reading all the positive reviews. We ordered hand rolls, sushi rolls, noodle dishes, another entree for take out and they were all terrible. The seaweed were dry and chewy for both hand rolls and sushi rolls, and the noodle soup had no taste. Overall, all the food came with a significantly small portion and poor quality. I called to talk to a manager, but it was hard to get a hold of her, and no one cared about our concern. When I was finally on the phone with her, she said, "We use quality seaweed and being dry and chewy is normal for sushi rolls and hand rolls." During this difficult time, helping local businesses is a great deal of showing care, but some of their unethical behavior leaves me a great level of disappointment...
