I hate to write reviews that are not 5 stars but I felt like I wanted reflect our actual experience here so others will know what to expect. We saw that this place had 4+ stars and choose it for Saturday dinner. There were people loitering inside the restaurant. It wasn't terrible, but it felt like a hang out. My husband didn't mind it but I thought it was a bit distracting to staff in my opinion. The pizza was missing something flavor wise. I'm not quite sure how to explain it but It was almost tasty. There was a rubbery consistency to the bread and cheese. Some ingredients like the Mushrooms and pepperoni were delicious and fresh. The other ones: onions, sausage, bell pepper etc, did not taste very fresh at all.

I don't know how normal this is but one guy was makiing pizza with his bare hands and no gloves. I am not to comfortable with that. All in all, I regret to say, it was a mediocre experience at best. I had high hopes. Customer service...

The pizza tour of Indianapolis continues and did not disappoint with Goodfella's in BroadRipple. We ordered the 16" size with half of it topped with The Don and the other half was topped with tomatoes, black olives and extra cheese. The Don had green peppers, red onions, sliced Italian sausage and pepperoni . The crust was perfectly cooked. As a NY style pizza sometimes the crust cannot support many toppings without drooping and requiring the NY fold over. In this case the crust was able to support the weight of a lot of toppings. Compared to other pizzas claiming NY style, this one was extraordinary. The crust had the requisite air pockets in the rim and a perfect chew throughout. We ordered carry out . Pulled right up , a perky wait staff rang me up and was delightfully cheerful. Highly recommend...
