Something different & fantastic on the South side! I had heard about this place a couple times and finally made it in. Based on a bunch of recommendations, I got the Ube Cafe Latte, and it was nothing short of phenomenal. The sweetness was not overpowering, but the flavor was very distinct. (Ube has a nutty, vanilla-like flavor that balances out the coffee nicely). My standard drink is an Americano or Pour Over, both black, so I was worried this might be too sweet, but it was perfect! Claypot coffee has a very smooth, velvety, almost chocolate-like taste and feel, so if you like bright, fruity blends, this may not be the style you would prefer, but I would encourage anyone to give it a shot! I also tried the Egg Roti, which was tasty.
The staff was friendly, service was fairly quick, and there’s tons of seating available. I do wish they would invest in some sound treatment, but that seems to be the norm at most coffee shops I visit these days, unfortunately, so I won’t knock them for that.
Do yourself a favor and try it out - there is definitely room for a place like this that’s serving something distinctly different among all the other really good coffee shops we have in the area. I hope they’re here for a...

OK OK let me just say that I don't normally rave about coffee, but I guess I just haven't been impressed in a long time.
At first, I didn't know what drink to order. This place offers a lot of special coffee drinks that I haven't seen elsewhere. So, I'm standing there like a big dumdum and brain short circuiting with indecision when the staff was SO SWEET and genuine helped me to make a decision. She asked about my preferences, gave me advice, and game me SAMPLES so I could choose a drink that I would enjoy 💓 (If you see this, you're an angel. Thank you!)
We also ordered some food since we were hungry and got a waffle with strawberry. It was hot and folded like a sandwich with strawberry jam in between. That was tasty!
We also ordered the seaweed popiah. If you're not familiar with it, the best way I could describe it would be a light, crunchy, vegetable spring roll. Since we ordered the seaweed popiah, it was wrapped on the outside with seaweed. In this case, it was kind of like a vegetarian sushi roll.
I'll definitely be back to try the other drink and food items. The roti was...
Read moreClaypot Coffee House. I don’t get to Greenwood very often and I had just read about this place somewhere online, so when I saw it today, I decided to stop in on my way back home and I’m so glad that I did. I would definitely go back. I liked the atmosphere a lot and I really appreciated the young girl who helped me with my order and helped me figure out what I wanted. I ended up with a delicious milky tea drink, and got a chicken sandwich-almost like a crepe and it’s fantastic! I brought it home with me and I’m eating a little of it at this point and it’s so delicious. It also has a really good sauce with it. The sandwich is maybe a little bit spicy, but not much at all —just enough to give it a really good flavor. They were so nice in there and I would definitely return. as I was leaving, I spoke with a fellow customer outside, who had walked over from a nearby business and said he just loved it there and was so happy that...
