Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Indianapolis

There is a restaurant a couple doors down from this Cold Stone that I love and get excited about going to because I know if we’re going there, I’m getting ice cream after. My husband and I walked in and we’re usually not greeted anyway but tonight was different. The girl at the register just looked up and glared when my husband and I walked in while checking someone out and never acknowledged me or my husband. There was one other woman working who was making waffle bowls/ cones (she also never spoke to us). Once the worker at the register was done checking out the woman ready to leave, she never looked over at my husband and I again. I don’t know what she was doing or if she was just trying to make herself look busy to not help us but she never came over. We were the ONLY customers in there and neither the girl making waffle cones or girl at the register said A WORD to my husband and I; Not even a “hey we’ll be right with you,” or “sorry about the wait!” We stood and waited for 5 MINUTES for one of them to come over and take my order. We ended up walking out and neither of them tried to say anything. I’m just really disappointed because this location is the closest one to us and I’ll probably, unfortunately, have to come back here again to get what I like. My wife and I went here to try this location as the one I had been to previously in Carmel was all around amazing. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the level of food or service offered at this location. My ice cream seemed under portioned and lacked flavor and mix ins. My wife's sweet little treat didn't fill her expectations. The fruit advertised as fresh was frozen and not at all what was shown in the picture. Their cheesecake ice cream doesn't belong in the same sentence as dairy queens. She told me it tasted sour and was so dissatisfied she threw it away before finishing her small. Not to mention she was vocal about the false advertising of fruit at this location and had disposed of them off her treat before we had even paid. We had never been so was excited to try it but our experience was not so good. We have a lot of children; With so many choices we weren't sure of what we were wanting and the line was starting to build up(there was only 1 person in front of us and no one behind us when arrived)... Staff tried to be patient but instead of keeping order and going one at a time they were just asking kids what they wanted and it got crazy and then ended up that we were all frustrated by the end of our order. Lesson learned on my end though; Google menu to a new place ahead of time to avoid frustration for everyone involved.... Lesson hopefully learned by Cold stone, take one order at a time, even if line is long, and let parents order for small children instead of asking them what they want because kids will take a mile if given an inch and I don't want a $10 ice cream per child when we have 6,...
