McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Food was good as it always is. I'll never be back to this location though. Counter employees behind the register had the worst mouth where my wife and I could hear a whole conversation and we were on the other side of the restaurant. The language and discussions when we first sat down were clearly not work appropriate and were a complete turn off to this company. The discussions were what you don't want to hear about someone's personal intimate relationship, while we were eating. There were maybe 6 people sitting and eating in the whole building and everyone was turning to look at who was leading this conversation. They also went on about how they hate grubhub and how disrespectful us customers are for placing orders at lunch times and its inconvenient for them but they have to do it. They went a step farther and talked to one of the grubhub orderers on the phone and was trying to get them to change their lunch time delivery. At this point. My family left. It was too much at that point for what was being said and discussed. Like I stated, my family won't be back and we won't be trying grubhub from this location in Castleton.

On a lighter note: this location I believe has a hired busser that has a disability of some sort.(I am not talking down on this employee one bit) This man was exceptionally polite and greated numerous people like he knew them for years and really seemed to care for his job and had a true desire to help and stay busy. Keep up...

Placed an order today at McAllister‘s around 326. I picked up my food around 342 when I walked in I was greeted by the cashier at the register. It was a young man fair complexion had a couple of dreads in his head I explain to him that I was doing a pick up. he pointed to some shelves in the corner and said your meal should be over there. I retrieve my food when I grab my drink the drink overflowed and spilled onto the floor I looked in my bag for napkins there were no napkins I ask for napkins he gave me some napkins got home about 4:16 at that time I realize that my order was incomplete I had bought a salad of the pick two and a spud. the salad was to come with some ranch, there was no ranch, spud with supposed to come with sour cream and butter there was no sour cream nor butter in the bag I tried to call the 259- 4000 number that’s listed on all of the websites however this is a nonworking number I called three times and no one answered it wrong for so long that it ended up in a busy signal. I apologize for assuming a 25 dollar meal from Mccalister would be correct. But to add insult to injury the number is a non working number, or realistically, the employees don’t answer the phone....

Worse service . I placed an order for curbside pickup I showed up about 15 minutes 20 minutes later. The sign said to call the number when I got there. I tried to call several times nobody answered. So I got out of my car and went inside we'll try to get somebody's attention at the front desk to help me. At first nobody helped. I got the attention of one of the person at the front at the counter I'm asked her what the heck was going on. Can you give me an answer and said he was bagging our food should even look to see which where our order was Jesus said we're back in your order. I waited for at least 10 more minutes and finally someone brought me my food. When I tried to make a suggestion/ complained about how the curbside service was non-existent and you allow me to place an order online. I told the person at the front that you should shut down your curbside if you're not going to acknowledge people outside. The front counter person would not even acknowledge me or say sorry. This was my first time to McAlister's and I work close by for a very big business with hundreds of people that order out. I'll make sure to let them know the...
