I got the Mango Habanero Chicken (with home fries and steamed green beans). I was super excited about the mango habanero chicken, but was let down by the moistness of the chicken or lack there of. It was very dried out. But I did like the mango habanero sauce, it was delicious! The green beans were too crunchy and definitely needed cooked longer. The home fries were delicious, cooked nice and tender, and maintained their warmth throughout the meal.
My husband got the Western Omelet (hash browns and gluten-free toast). He was satisfied with the temperature and taste of his food.
My 4 year old son got the Two Egg Breakfast (scrambled eggs, fruit, bacon, and 2 full slices gluten-free toast cut into 4 triangles). It filled him up nicely with only two triangle slices of toast to go. He said his food was yummy!
This visit for me was a huge let down and quite disappointing. Not what any of our past experiences have been at this establishment, but then again this was our first visit to this location (Clearwater Crossing Indianapolis, IN location). Our previous wonderful experiences were at the Fort Wayne, IN location which sadly closed a couple years ago. Not sure we'll be traveling the 2 hours one way again to eat at the Clearwater Crossing location. Obviously can't expect the same experience at...
Read moreMy family comes to this establishment every time I visit Indy and we always have Candice as our waitress (who is an absolute treasure btw) with a party size about 10-15 people each time. We have always been accommodated easily but today a very rude, control freak who seemed to be a manager named Alissa made a huge deal about putting our party at two different tables instead of together. She refused to sit us at one long table without requiring our table to be served by two separate waitresses. I explained to her that it didn’t make sense when the party sitting to the side of us could have sat easily at the 2nd table they were forcing us to sit at. She argued with me about this and it was really just a control issue. She created a problem that didn’t exist to then have our server serve that table anymore when another party came in while we were still eating. That woman creates a very negative environment and as a business owner myself I would get rid of her before she runs off my best staff. She has terrible problem solving skills and is rude to the workers. The food however was AMAZING as always!! Candace was excellent and attentive as always. Her service and the amazing food and the typically pleasant atmosphere is why Metro diner is the best part of my...
Read moreI would attach a picture IF I ACTUALLY GOT WHAT I ORDERED !!! I'm giving Metro Diner 1-stars across the board . I just ordered their Chicken & Waffles thru UberEats . When my order gets here , I notice there's no seal on the bag and it's been left open and unsecured . That's already a red flag because people are known to tamper with a person's food and y'all didn't take the necessary steps to ensure nothing happens during transport . ANYWAY....when my order arrives at my door , I immediately realize that there's no chicken in my bag . I'm not exaggerating . THERE'S NOT A SINGLE PIECE OF CHICKEN IN MY BAG WHATSOEVER!!! I'm supposed to be receiving a leg, a thigh, a breast & a wing and all I received was a bare plain waffle with some syrup . REALLY METRO DINER ??? And when I call to get the issue resolved , UberEats told me to take it up with Metro & Metro told me to take it up with UberEats . So I just spent $37.06 and all I have to show for it is a plain waffle with a cup of syrup on the side . I'll never be ordering or eating at Metro Diner ever again...
