Town Run Trail Park (South Loop) — Attraction in Indianapolis

A nice 8 mile loop of trail that is the closest one can get to mountain biking in central Indiana. Essentially, the trail emulates a mountainous terrain by weaving up and down a hill from a trench that was formed long ago by the river. It rides quite fast at times and also includes a section of cross country riding on a somewhat loose, sandy surface. The park/track is almost always closed the day after a rain, so prepare for that in advance. Spring is a tricky season to hit this loop because of all the typical rain/flooding during that time.
