I arrived at the restaurant around 11:51 PM and, following the sign at the front entrance, we seated ourselves. Shortly after, Server #1 approached and asked for our drink order. I requested water with lemon. She then asked if we were ready to order, and I told her we weren’t quite ready yet. She told me she needed to take our order immediately because the kitchen would be closing in two minutes—it was 11:54 PM at the time. I mentioned that I thought the restaurant closed at 1:00 AM, but she said the kitchen closes an hour earlier. I told her I would be ready to order once she brought our water. She also offered a kid’s menu, which I accepted. However, she returned with only the kid’s menu—not our waters—and proceeded to serve another table their drinks and a kid’s meal. Before we received any drinks, Server #2 came to take our order, which was confusing, as I assumed Server #1 was handling our table. Server #2 made additional comments about the kitchen closing soon, which made me feel rushed and dismissed. Since the kitchen was still open, Server #2 said she would get the manager. When he arrived, he did not introduce himself as the manager. As I began explaining my concerns, he interrupted, sided with the staff, and dismissed what I was saying without listening fully. I asked if I could speak to someone above him, and he ignored the question. I asked again if there was a corporate contact. He confirmed there was, but did not provide the information. I told him I no longer wished to discuss the matter. After the food was brought out, he came back again trying to continue the conversation, even though I had already made it clear that I did not want to continue discussing the issue. I informed him again that I would be reaching out to corporate. Before our food was served, a server informed the manager at our table that they were out of macaroni and cheese for the kid’s meal. Instead of informing me or asking for a substitution, they replaced it with something else without notifying me. On top of all this, no one came by to check on us throughout our meal, unlike what we observed with other tables. We had to ask for a to-go box and our check, as no one...
Read moreOrdered some food online today , 2 speciality sushi rolls for $33, on the order confirmation , it says to park in a designated spot and they bring the order out. I called at the expected ready time at 10:07pm , was advised by someone in the kitchen (ended up being the woman behind the bar) that they dont bring it out to the car (no problem), she lets me know it was ready and that she had it right in her hand. i go in and am met with 3 people having a conversation at the hostess stand (2 women , 1 in a red button up (assuming was a manager) and a man in a black shirt) , all 3 looked at me and continued their conversation , I advise im picking up an order for Nyla , buddy in the black shirt tells me it's not ready yet and they continue w their conversation until the woman in the red button up tells him to go check the kitchen. 2 mins pass , the woman i spoke with over the phone ask me if I was picking up , I said yes and she handed me my order.
Now 2 things , whoever the 3 were at the hostess stand, needs a better attitude when it comes to speaking with guest. I ( a paying customer ) shouldn't have to be greeted w attitude and stares as if im getting on somebody nerves. If you're going to stand at the hostess stand , it shouldn't be 3 people having a irrelevant conversation. as for buddy in the black shirt , you need a full lesson in customer service , my order was sitting at the bar before i walked in , and you didn't bother to check if that was my order. whatever the conversation was , better had been life or death or business wise cause all 3 of them were fully unprofessional.
As for the woman behind the bar , thank you for being professional and kind both over the phone and in person. You deserve the managerial position. Thank you for making the...
Read moreWell I was there when they were so short handed without servers that my neighbor and I could not sit in the back.We were told they were down to 3 servers . We'll I just happened to be looking for a server job. With a degree from Purdue in restaurant & hotel mgnt& 25 yrs experience serving; I felt certain I would be an asset to the company. So applied on line Oct 3. Today is Oct 18th. I have called the main lady at corporate who works out of Louisville. I've left her a message. I have called Drakes a total of 4 times to follow up with my application hoping to get an interview. First call; they said manager will call u later today or tomorrow for interview. I got No call. Second call the guy put me on hold after I told him I applied & would like to speak to manager . He put me on hold then came back& Saud managers in an interview. He took my name and number& assured me she would call me. Again- no call. Then called again and talked to Angel. She confirmed yes they are hiring still and she was so sorry I've gotten the run around but she assured me when her main manager came in today Fri Oct 18 that she would make sure I got a call back. Guess what? No call..I read the reviews. I plan on going up there tomorrow and see what kind of service I get. Let me tell you I'm one of the best servers in town. And I've been patient and kind but apparently no one at drakes cares that I'm wanting a job that I'm fully qualified for. So we shall see what kind of service I receive tomorrow. I read every bad review and apparently hospitality, professionalism, & good service or integrity are not the priority at drakes or their corporate level. I would love to speak to someone from corporate who might care-- but I won't hold my breath seeing how I've been treated just to get...
