Pots and Pans Pie Co. makes some stellar sweet and savory pies...as well as an awesome shortbread chocolate chip cookie. 5-stars because for rounding up - I'd say a 4.6 is fair. This is my go to if I don't want to make a pie or don't have the time. It is not a big brand store bought pie - both in taste and in cost, but it's worth it. I recommend trying a slice first before committing to a full pie. They rotate pie flavors once a month - keeping apple and creme brulee as standard pies throughout the year. Some flavors can be unique (miso) while others can be very straight forward (lemon). I haven't had a pie that's too sweet - a good thing since that's a pet peeve of mine. But sometimes you get pies that are missing their pucker/citric acid hit (key lime) or don't truly match up to the name (coconut lime - couldn't taste the lime) - it's not often that this happens. Usually the dough/crust is good. I think their graham crusts are the best - right thickness, good texture, and always this touch of salt to balance things out. Their regular pie dough is flaky but it can sometimes be a little dense/thick at the back - you get less filling with these pies. But oddly, I've only noticed this issue with their dessert pies, not their savory pot pies. Pot pies are amazing! I can't think of a bad one. Perfect for a no fuss meal if you're single or if you're feeding a family - everyone can get their own! I always noticed the minis take a bit longer to cook than what the packaging says - in my experience 60-75 min from frozen makes the center bubble. Overall, a gem in the area - it's hard to find good pies. A few QC items to tighten up - challenge since they are all hand made. Can't wait to see what flavors they'll have next month.

The older lady was rude, the younger one was helpful. The old lady was more concerned about who was on my phone and what they were talking about than helping me. The pies were burnt and I saw that when I went back to the truck. I came back to inquire and she wanted to see and said it was the jam... Why is there jam burnt on the bottom when there is NONE inside the pastry?!? She said they were all the same with red pepper that's all she kept saying but there were two types two of those burnt ones which we lost half the pastry cutting that part off. The others were jalapeno and cream cheese, the last was cat food or something in there. Idk what that was but it was a weird flavor. Wasn't a fan of the apple crumble and I hate root beer but they tossed in the minis to get rid of them but that was the only thing able to be eaten the rest of them hand pies were dry and had a filing in the last one was not able to be identified it was a creamy mess inside. I won't be doing pies any time soon but when I do it won't be from this location. If it wasn't for the young lady I would not have added 4 stars for the atmosphere and two for the service.

Having heard so much about this place went here to try their famous pies! They have soo many options to choose from and you would need to be here almost everyday to try them out! Pies: We got the pineapple and passion fruit pie and the cashew coconut pie. The pineapple and passion fruit pie was quite sour and the topmost layer was gelatinous passion fruit which is not the texture I like. The base biscuit crumb was the saving grace. The second pie had a wafer base with custard mixed with cashew butter and coconut shavings. The custard and toppings were nice (a little bit too sweet) but the base was soggy and not something we could bit in. The base tasted stale and hence wasn’t the best in the overall sense. Maybe the choices were not the best (one was recommended by the staff) but this isn’t for me! They already have boxes ready to go so once you place the order the pie piece is ready. Plus they were quite cold so you might want to give it five mins to get a little less cold Service: Super sweet and helpful! Ambience: Nothing much in terms of ambience. It’s a pickup place.

6/2023 2 🌟 Finally got around to trying the chicken pot pie. First I really enjoy the food here but the big, like almost whole potatoes in this pot pie has me not feeling it. It's not cut/cubed potatoes it's like a medium potato cut in half in the pot pie. Then there wasn't that much shredded chicken. It was mostly veggies that weren't cut small. Maybe call it a veggie pie.. 🤷‍♀️ Oh my goodness! Goodness it is. Yum, yum, yum. Yesterday was me and hubby's first time there. It's a quaint shop and as soon as you walk in the door your nose is hit with all these scrumptious scents. The young lady greeted us then went over the menu with us since it was our 1st time visiting. We ordered 2 shortbread chocolate cookies, 2 slices of the apple crumb pie, biscuits and gravy pie, apple cream cheese galette and sour creme & raspberry pie. We ate the cookies on the drive home and started to go back for more they are that good. My hubby ate the apple cream cheese galette and said it was everything. One thing I would suggest is getting a bigger sign or add a flag sign out front bc you may miss them driving by. Parking is limited as well for the small shopping lot so be prepared to find street parking if the lot is full. We spent a little over $40 so...

The storefront is a bit hard to make out, it's in a row of stores sharing a small shopping plaza. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and explain everything you might have questions about.

I had ordered ahead the day before for some pies and picked up a couple of hand pastries while there as well. They were the mushroom, potato and blue cheese and crab rangoon. Both had nice, flaky crusts. The problem is that both the crust and filling (particularly the filling in the crab rangoon) were extremely heavily salted.

I'm big on salting things to the point where my mom (a retired RN) has expressed concern more than once. These were too heavily salted for me. I had to stop eating the crab rangoon, it was that bad. Given the overall review score, I am hoping this was a solitary mistake. I will update the review with the details on the frozen pies I bought over the next week or so.

Just cooked and ate the beef and mushroom smaller sized pie. The seasoning was quite good in this case. The beef, red wine and onions came through nicely.

My oven is a typical older one in an apartment so the cooking time was about 80 minutes on the middle...
