Pavna and Neeti, a team of strong and powerful women who opened this place as a joint venture. As tourist to Indianapolis, we wanted to make sure we tried authentic Indian cuisine. And when we made the decision to come to this place, let me tell you, it was the best decision. The staff is super friendly, is efficient with their service, the chef works in the kitchen herself and makes sure the taste and quality is delivered to its utmost standard. Pavna, the restaurant owner, is such a sweet person. She was personable, asked everyone at the table if they enjoyed their meal and even conversed in Punjabi which only made the experience more authentic. This place, is by far is the best Indian food I have had in years. Absolutely loved it. To anyone visiting this town, you cannot miss this. You have to give it a try and suppprt this amazing business.

Passing through town, we picked this place at random and it did not disappoint. It's located in such a pretty neighborhood. There were 2 waitresses and they both frequently checked on us. One of them, it was only her second day working and she did such a great job, very friendly. :) As far as food, the samosas were flaky and crispy, filling has just a hint of spice. Chicken pakoras was so good, idk what seasoning they sprinkle on top but it's awesome. Chicken curry was the perfect amount of spicy, good flavor. I can't handle really spicy foods, but I will say the mild butter chicken was maybe too mild. I'd prefer that over burning my mouth, but it could have used a little kick. Still delicious though, so creamy. Overall a great visit!

The Little India in Broad Ripple is a cozy escape into the vibrant flavors of India. The restaurant's colorful decor creates a relaxed atmosphere perfect for diving into a diverse menu. We started with a mango lassi and masala soda, both of which are home made. The chicken tandoori from the clay oven is so tender—don’t miss out on this! Their butter chicken is a standout with its creamy, spicy tomato sauce, and for vegetarian items, I loved the palak paneer and malai kofta. Service is friendly and helpful, making the dining experience enjoyable and welcoming. Whether you're with family or friends, Little India promises a delightful taste of authentic Indian cuisine in the heart of Indianapolis.

I had a horrible experience last night. I went and they were busy, I asked if we could have a table for 2 but if they were busy it would not be an issue if we could not be seen. They seated us as they had a free table for 2 in front of us.

There was only one plate at the table, we were not given a menu or another plate. We had to take them off the table next to us where they were placed by a worker AFTER we sat down but my boyfriend was given no plate.

I also saw it was customary for this restaurant to have water given in glasses. We got no water. We also got NO REFILLS PERIOD the whole time we were there (50 min). One glass of coke to eat Indian food sheesh.

I also had to listen to a customer yell at the business owner for 10 minuets during my meal. She was upcharged on the meal, I also thought i was upcharged to a degree. Her meal was 12 dollar on the menu but she was charged 14. Anyways... It was an unpleasant dining experience.

As we finished our food, we waited. and waited. and waited for the check to come. Also to get some boxes because we could not finish our food. But we never got either. We had to get up and try to leave to get their attention. They couldn't give me their attention when I wanted something to drink (i asked out loud and was ignored) but they sure could when they were going to have some dollars fly out the window.

As I paid it was 45 dollars. I was not offered a discount for the horrible service I just tried to walk out on. I did not want to pay because it was not worth my money. But of course I did.

In the end, if they were so busy, they should have stopped taking customers (they never stopped) or so many doordash orders. I would not have been mad if they told me I would have had to go somewhere else, as I said it was okay in the beginning.

I'm furious my night was ruined and I spent 45 dollars out of my home to have a bad time. 45 dollars for no refill.

It's a shame, the food is good and tasty, this would have been my #1 Indian spot but this experience was so bad. I will not be coming back or giving any...

So the reason I gave this 2 stars was the fact that customer service was very mediocre. This was my first time trying this place out. My friend lives pretty much in walking distance and we were hungry. We both ordered the buttered chicken and naan. So, long story short we received our food, went back to my friends place to chow down, it was ok but not the best I've had. I normally like it a little spicier (which in my experience when ordering buttered chicken they ask what spiciness level you prefer-they didn't ask). In the middle of eating my friend came across a long hair that she had to pull out of her mouth (a good 10-12 inches) it wasn't either of our hair (my hair is very curly and shorter and my friends hair is of melanated texture and locked) this hair was straight and long. She immediately called and spoke to one of the employees who then called the owner (netti) who then in return called my friend back. My friend explained what happened and was told either we can have the food re-made or a refunded since im the one who paid for it all and it was my first time eating here. Since they were closed for the night I returned the next day (live a good 25 minutes away) and they knew who I was. They tried to remake the whole order which i did not want due to last night, and me going out to dinner this evening with another friend and my friend who had the hair in her food was not home either. They called Netti back and I was told that wasnt the agreement and we didnt bring the food back per company policy (which they couldn't provide any policy and was never spoken about at all) she couldn't refund the whole amount due to company policy which they only gave back 50% of what I paid and nothing else. I find this inconsiderate due to the inconvenience of me having to drive all the way back out here and this was my first experience with trying them out! I WILL...

RUN! DON’T WALK! I am a New Yorker and have wined and dined at the most iconic, 5 Star Plus Indian Restaurants throughout Manhattan. I was visiting family in Indiana and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant in Broad Ripple. Ownership has changed in recent months and they have really taken the time to revamp the inside of the restaurant, but most importantly the menu!

The food is incredible. Every bite is literally like a party in my mouth. The flavors are unreal and you can’t help but want more of this deliciousness! We had the following dishes:

  1. Tandoori Chicken- WOW! So juicy and not the typical dry flavor like most Indian restaurants. I loved how Chef Neeti topped it off with a yogurt dressing.
  2. Malai Kofta- this is a dish all non veg eaters should try! So good!
  3. Yellow Daal- my kids couldn’t get enough of it!
  4. Chicken Tikka Masala- chicken was juicy and all around the dish was so flavorful
  5. Naan- fresh and must have with the entrees

Ambiance is a 5/5. Cute and simple, and the energy of the restaurant is beautiful. The staff are so kind and you can tell how much they care about the restaurant and making sure that their customers have the ultimate experience.

Do yourself a favor if you’re reading this review…head to Little India for lunch or dinner and you will blown away. This is by far the best Indian restaurant in...
