I recall passing this establishment over a month ago when I was taking my daughter to get her hair done. I immediately looked up the reviews and they were surprisingly really good. So surprising that I wonder why there were no patrons there at the time. Either way I knew I would be returning as I love oxtails and the place that I usually patronize, had not been consistent. I wanted to get a nice meal before the new year end as I was starting a new health journey. I asked my husband if he wanted to go for a ride, the ride was going to be at least 45 minutes from where we live, he regretfully agreed and we started our journey. As we were en route, my husband reminded me that sometimes here is a wait at restaurant like this, so I decided that I would call in my order. Upon calling there was a message that referenced being able to place orders through their online website and that is just what I did. I ordered oxtails that of course came with rice and peas along with very little cabbage that I enjoyed a great deal, the cabbage that is, I also ordered a side of callaloo greens and when we made it to the restaurant, as instructed by the website we were able to pick I order up in a Drive-Thru with no wait. I couldn't wait to get home to try my dinner. The oxtails we're okay, the rice and peas as I find with all Jamaican restaurants it's never impressive, relax seasoning and flavor is very basic and consistent across at least five or six restaurants that I tried just an abundance of unflavored rice and peas. The cabbage was very tender and I enjoyed it but back to the rice, I had to use the little bit of gravy underneath the oxtail to help it out. As for the callaloo greens it had a lot of stands and I couldn't finish it. I think I will stick to the Jamaican spot that's only about 15 to 20 minutes from me going forward. It really makes me wonder who the people are, completing these reviews at almost five stars. I'm pretty sure I paid close to $30 for this one meal...

Before we even left TX, my Husband looked this spot up‼️He compared restaurants and I mapped out our route. Yaso is definitely a winner and will be in our rotation when we're in town‼️ Customer service impeccable 💯🅰️ the young lady was friendly and informative even though we got there 15 minutes before closing! Now, the scent of Jamaican food wafted through the air as soon as we stepped out the car (que the Birdman Bless Up Handrub 🙌🏿)‼️I knew it was about to go down‼️ I have smelled this before on our way to the resort in Jamaica our driver stopped alongside the road and we broke bread with our people. My cousin and I opted to have the jerk ribs and my Husband and my other cousin had the jerk wings‼️ Both were 🏆 🥇 winners‼️ They give you a choice of sauces and I choose the hot and sweet and my Life was Blessed by that choice‼️Get Blessed 🙌🏿 Real Talk that combination was one of the best things in Indiana ‼️Portions were good; ribs to rice and beans ratio was just right and we didn't go broke with our choices. My Husband ordered an extra side of Mac n Cheese, it's not my Grandma's so there's that. Beautiful decor inside and out. You can dine Al fresco, and it was a beautiful evening to do so, but We went home and SMASHED‼️I ate so fast that I forgot to to take pictures and by the time I realized it 😳 what I had done to those ribs, it wasn't fit to take pictures of. Long story Longer this meal was the best Jamaican food in Indiana HANDS DOWN‼️I will make it a point to hit this spot when I am in town. I'm going to venture to say it's better than what I have had in Dallas thus far, and we have hit up a few places in TX‼️ Sorry there are no visuals to help sway you, but trust and believe you won't be...

This place is unreal. 🤯

Manager thinks she knows the Indiana law. Stating because she worked with an airline she knew the law. It makes her very ignorant and a great person to mock and make fun of.

Learn service animal laws. Check out ADA rules. It will help you understand the federal law.

Further, a man tried to pet my service dog making her bark. Once! They wanna try to hold it to a T and tell me if my dog acted out again I would be removed. Yet again. Keep your hands off service dogs. She asked for paperwork which is against the law. You can not ask anything beside is that a service dog and task preformed. I stated Mobility and Retieval. Which allows my dog to be off leash. But I take extra steps to insure she is Secure. Now she looked at my dog and was looking for a vest. That’s fine. I don’t need a vest on her. Yet again check you ADA laws and might seek classes.

If you have a service animal and legit. You know the laws yourself. This Manager “She” was talking like she had 100% authority and you couldn’t get one word in.

I will never go back as I smelled piss as I sat down. They had staff eating out in view for others to see.

I looked up and they were recording us sitting at the table. How rude of this place. Ma and Pa shop.

This action caused all staff to talk with backs turned and giggles. Talking about a service animal. There was a guild dog and service dog. What’s the problem. Things are over priced for the food given. WHO wants to pay that much for a small portion?

Just a heads up about this disgusting place.

Have a...

My son brought me for Father’s Day last month and what a great experience. I had never been here, but I’ve had Jamaican food before. This was everything I wanted and the best part is it’s in our own city. The location is a little out of the way from downtown Indianapolis, but worth the drive. We drove on a Friday before the Pacers game and had no trouble getting in and out. The young lady was very friendly and went over the menu. She made it easy to order for me because she answered my questions. My son has been here before so he ordered right away. I ended up ordering the same. The food was delicious and for a big man I was able to save half my meal for later. I do not eat plantains but these are authentic to the Caribbean style. I do not eat macaroni but this was just as good. For a picky man they cooked great food. The pork steak and rice is delicious. I knew that walking in because that’s one thing my son bragged about. He’s had all their dishes. I will be returning to try another dish. If you’re in the mood to experience something different you won’t go wrong here. Friendly staff. Great cook 🧑‍🍳 and delicious 😋 food.

First off parking is kinda tight. I parked across the street. When you get inside you see why because there are only about 6 tables. They make good use of the little space that they have. They do have a drive through if you don't want to deal with the space constraints. You have to order at the register and then they will bring it to the table. Food is served in Styrofoam takeout containers with plastic silverware. I ordered oxtails, spicy beef patty, and a pineapple lemonade. My sister ordered jerk chicken and water. Total was $55. Food didn't take too long to come. Oxtails were good the only drawback was the 2 massive pieces of bone they had hidden in the pile of oxtails. They had meat on them so I wasn't upset. The beef patty wasn't spicy so I got some scotch bonnet from the counter and made it do what it do. The pineapple lemonade was country time or something similar but was good. My sister says the jerk chicken was spicy but she doesn't enjoy spicy food like I do. All in all I can't complain about anything but the price.
