Could be my favorite new hang! I drive by it every day, but had never been in. In fact, I thought it was just a hip cool coffee spot. Seems that it was always super busy, and I thought, " man, these Fountain Sqaure kids sure do love their americanos." No, this place is not a coffee shop, and apparently these fountain square kids love their Hawaii-Mexian fusion! I was walking through the area just doing my usual digs, and their liquor wall caught my eye from the street. I was like, "hol on, now, that's not coffee flavoring, that thar is spirits!", so I went in. Boom! From go, I'm blasted by the color arrangement of the worldly decor. I had no idea what a night I was in store for. I walk up to the bar, and Roni, one of the owners greets me. I explain that I had no idea what or where I was, and how I had no idea what they offered. She explained that this was a grand restaurant and bar. And bam, I see the draught beer list. Gaaaawd, how could I have missed such a gem for the last 2 years of being back in the area?! I ordered a Bier Brewery Dubbel, and chilled and took pics, as a single hip cool dude does. I talked w some of the servers, didnt get any names, cause you know that's creepy to ask names. They were doing their thing, I was doing the vibe thing. Got a chance to talk to one of the other owners, Tufty. I got the run down of the history and core values of the place. Place is pure lit. I was given a tour of the other seating locations of the restuarant, and the rest of the luminous decor. I then spent more time being delighted w tales of ol, and plans for the future w them. A grand night had by me. But I didnt est anything, because I think I had eaten just before. Who cares, gave me another reason to come back. Round 2: bite! I purposely went back a day ago just to order some food, and take a pic so I could post all my pics and this review. I walked up, and I didnt see any lights on, but the hours on the door said they were open. Always try the door! Opened the door, but no one was there, and the owner explained that the back was the seating of the evening. Well that's cool, I thought. I cant remember a place where a section of the building was closed, yet another was. The back half was more of a Hawaiian theme, while the front was more Mexican. I over heard the server tell a couple who had come in w me that the house Margarita was $5, so when she asked me, that's what o ordered. Who is never in a mood for a margarita? No this guy! As I wait for my drink,I looked over the food menu. Quite a selection! I ordered the pork tacos, but not the Hawaiian pork tacos, cause they were out. And these tacos were heavenly. They had house made hot sauces, and they added the bite I hoped for. As I enjoyed my margarita and pork tacos, I blissfully enjoyed the jamaican music that bumped on the stereo. W delight, I was treated w a rendition of " Take Five" from King Tubby, a dub legend. All the servers as super fun and inviting. Food is amazing, owners are hands on, and drinks are always flowing! Highly suggest this delicatessen! When in fountain square make sure to visit Revolucion restaurant and bar. I'll see y'all thar!

If you’re looking for a fun night/atmosphere this might be your spot, but if you’re looking for good tacos, stay away. My husband and I went here one evening pretty late. There was no hostess to greet us (no problem), so we found one and asked what our seating options were. She told us we could stand at the “communal“ table or wait until seats opened at the bar. We started at the table, and then were able to get bar seats. The servers weren’t all that friendly but weren’t terrible. The queso dip was super basic, as were the margaritas. We had a number of tacos. The steak was the best, the shrimp was pretty terrible (tiny shrimp), hardly any flavor, and the fish ones were super dry. However, the chicken was the absolute worst. Imagine someone just putting unseasoned dry shredded crockpot chicken in a tortilla with a lime on the side. I was shocked that they actually had the audacity to serve this basic chicken to customers and was extremely disappointed. If I’m honest, these were overall probably the worst tacos I’ve ever had. I have no reason to ever go back here.

This bar may have the friendliest staff we’ve ever encountered! Ample seating inside if there’s none on the patio. The drinks were incredible. Food was quite delicious- we both ordered burritos (could’ve ordered just one- they were huge!) and shared poutine. Only critique there is the fries could’ve been cooked longer and the burritos needed some sort of sauce… didn’t realize until too late they had some sauces out on other tables - we will know to look for next time. With this being our first time ever in the area, the parking was a bit of a hassle just because I didn’t expect to have to drive around for 10 minutes finding somewhere to park….and parallel parking isn’t something I’m great at :-) We had a lovely walk to and from the restaurant though and enjoyed seeing the other food and drink options. Revolucion was such a fun experience we will definitely be back!

This is my favorite bar in town to go and relax. The first time you go, when you walk in, it looks like any taco bar anywhere. And if a taco joint were all it was, you could do a heck of a lot worse. The best part about this place, though, is the tiki bar in the back. The lighting is dim and perfect for anything from intimate rendezvous, to hangouts with friends, to relaxing solo and taking in some of the best cocktails on offer in Indianapolis. And in the summer, the overhead door in the back of the tiki bar opens to a nice, privacy fenced, patio area. This effectively doubles the seating area of the back bar. I’ve spent an EMBARASSING amount of time in bars all over Indy. One thing is certain; this place is the only bar around that can make an authentic Singapore Sling. I mean the only place. Don’t bother asking anywhere else, they’ll have to google it and it will be terrible. The Singapore Sling alone is worth the trip, but these bartenders are real pros and can make you whatever you like. With more than 200 tequilas on offer, tacos, nachos, and queso (oh my). You should really stop in and give this place a shot...

Not a great place for a party or gathering of lots of people. We had 14 for my wifes 30th birthday, and were forced to be seperate. They will NOT under any circumstance move the tables. Not my words but theirs. We sat ouside. The overall feel and ambiance is neat. Very Americanized for a mexican restaurant however. You have to order the chips and salsa. All the staff look straight out of a Pride march. Our waitress was especially rude. My very pregnant sister asked for a cup of ice and the given responce was that the water out of the cooler has ice in it, so the water should be cold enough. She later brought a cup of ice reluctantly. She also gave everyone BUT me a menu to look at. She neglected to bring the drinks in a timely manner, although we were right next to the bar and could see them stting there. Kudos to the manager on duty that evening. I expressed some concerns to her and she seemed receptive and genuine. The drinks and the food were okay. Nothing bad or good about it. Overall, Id say that if you have a decent sized party, or your not into the super hipster vibe, try a...
