Grace Buffet — Restaurant in Ingleside

I have ordered from here a couple times. Uts not great but it is close by and it's alright for something quick. Tonight I ordered online for delivery. I submitted my order around 8:15 pm. At around 8:45 I get an email stating they can not find a driver. I was given the option to change to pick up, wait or cancel. I had already bathed and changed into my pajamas. So, I decided to wait. Nearing closer to 9:20, I had heard nothing. So, I canceled my order. I was irritated because one should not offer delivery, when there is no driver. None the less I went about my night. Arpunf 9:23 I recieve a phone call. The restaurant apparently was not aware that I had ordered for delivery. They said they would deliver it. I asked twice before hanging up and I told them I had already canceled. I live literally less than a block away. I wait. At 9:40 I still have not received my order nor have I heard anything. So, I call back. Now she says, you canceled your order its fine. I stated she said she was going to have it delivered. She repeated that I canceled. She was rude,, cut me off and kept saying "you canceled" all while yelling. So, now it's 9:48. I have no food. It's questionable if I will get a refund. Let me tell you, I ordered a lot of food for variety. It was a 70 dollar order. Some how this translates to my fault. So, I will not be ordering from here again. Ever. Nor will I recommend it to any of my Clients, friends or anyone else. I will be telling my husband to let the tourists know to steer clear.

Update: It is now 9:56 and I have received a text from the restaurant asking me if they would like me to process payment for my order. It even states at the top the order was canceled. I'm beyond irritated at the moment. I'm hungry, tired and now misunderstood.

Second update: Now they claim the app did not deliver my order until 9:30. Considering they called me asking about my order around...

Hardly any food and I understand hurting business wise do to the pandemic but the food was old. Water sitting on top of the puddings. 4 each of the sushi in the middle of the pan. A cup to 2 cups of food in each pan in the middle. As if they only make 1 serving at a time. The egg drop soup had a web looking film over the top and looks like it's been sitting there all day. No egg rolls. 10 raw shrimp spread out over the ice. The salmon had a green tint to it. Definitely will not...

When I first visited the newly opened Grace Buffet, I wasn't sure what to expect, however I was immediately impressed. I have been to every buffet in Corpus and Ingleside, and this particular buffet place was the best one yet. I went to Grace Buffet for dinner, and the drive from Corpus was definitely worth it.
