Kenny's Q Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Inglewood

I was contacted by Kenny's Q's on Friday the next day after my visit and they apologized for the unpleasant experience and offered to do anything to make me happy and retain me as a customer. I told them I was from up state and would not be able to come back for another visit so they offered to refund my purchase back to my bank account. I really appreciate the quick response to my post. I did not think businesses kept that close of an eye on the reviews on Google. This business Kenny's is a place that takes pride in their food and reputation and offers to refund my purchase of $33.81 (as of this update the charge has not yet refunded. It takes a few days) Saturday 5/14/2022

I really blew it on this one. I have driven by Kenny's a few times over the past few days on my way from my hotel room and the hospital my dad is in. It was a late night and I did not get out of the hospital until 8 so I thought about the barbecue that had been on my mind. 1st. On the search it says "dine-in" and it is not. It's takeout only. 2nd. We got back to the hotel and were supposed to have 3 sides of beans and 2 types of barbecue sauce. Well we only had one container of beans and the other 4 containers were filled with barbecue sauce. I called the restaurant at 9:12 and it's answering service said it was closed. (Open til 10:00? ) 3rd. That container size is pretty small considering the price they charge. 4th. The beef sandwich was so tough my mother could not eat it. 5th. All of the meat was tough and looked old not very fresh. I could keep going on cause I am so upset and still hungry. I think that if you are going to operate a business that serves its customers takeout food only you need to really have your sh*t together. The customers are relying on you to give them exactly what they ordered. Especially when you charge the pricing of a dine-in restaurant. Kenny's is now operating at a level below the worst...

Giving this place 4 stars not because the food but because the service received lately. I give the food 5 stars don't get me wrong.

Although the food is delicious the attitude of the lady whom I was told is the wife of the owner is not the best. I placed a to go order a little after 9pm around 9:02pm. The lady that picked up the phone told me that she was not able to take my order. I then asked her to speak to Kenny the owner. I explained to him and was very nice to take my order. I had to pick it up. When I picked it up I overheard the lady talking and mocking me on how I asked Kenny to take my order with another employee. She was not happy about this seemed like. I then told her excuse me I am the one that placed that order and she gave her employee a look and walked into the back. I decided to let it pass and continue supporting this place because the food is delicious. Please note when I go to buy food the employees are all super nice with the exception of the owner's wife. I have nothing against her just sharing the truth.

I would like to add my friend also had a not so pleasant encounter with this lady. She has mentioned to me that when she buys food from this place and she is not treated as courteously as those of the owner's wife race. So not right.

This past Saturday there was an that event took place because the Mayor was going to be there. Kennys wife told my friend she was not going to sell her anything as this event was only for important people and not the public. All I have to say is thanks to the public your business is still up and running. With that attitude of yours you have lost my business. I know you may not seem to care but trust me I will take my business where I will be appreciated...

Potatoe salad 🤮is horrible, baked beans were just OK, the BBQ sauce was🤮 horrible. I can cook people beg me to cater their weddings, I say no. I'm from Indianapolis Indiana I can burn. I am surprised this place is still open no wonder it's never a line or crowded. Please get a new BBQ sauce recipe and potatoes salad preparer. Instead of not keeping it real with yourself make some changes. People ignore the truth please make some changes, truth sounds like hate to those who hate truth. Consumers are telling you they're not hating, when people are spending their money they tell you the truth not hate. Please make some changes to that BBQ sauce and that potatoes salad 🤮. If a woman is making that Potatoes salad she can't cook, it's horrible. I can't believe your still open for business. Everytime I ride by there it's always noone and no cars now I see why, keep it real with yourself and make some changes. Many folks in California can't cook a lick Texas either M&M soul food is horrible Dulans is to. I will take them out of business if I came on the scene hundreds of people here tell me just that after tasting my food plus I already knew that from tasting that garbage. I will not open a restaurant because I do not want to hire these people. They can't cook and I'm not about to teach them how to cook. Plus they will never get the opportunity to steal my family recipes.... these people are clueless I actually feel sorry for you all. People are serving people anything, it's no love and effort in the food they prepare and serve...
