Angel at the Window Starbucks, Don’t Let This Guy Go
Today, I rolled up on my bike to the Starbucks drive-thru at Century Boulevard and Inglewood. The place was slammed. Orders backed up, cars lined up, nonstop movement. But right at that window? That’s where everything changed.
Angel I don’t say this lightly—Angel is the best customer service experience I’ve had in years. Maybe ever. No script, no fake energy—just a real one. Cool, calm, and collected under serious pressure. The kind of guy who makes you feel like you’re the only customer in the world, even though it’s pure chaos behind him.
I mean, he was chill, friendly, fast—on point. He had every reason to be rushed or robotic. Instead, he brought the kind of energy that elevates the entire brand. That’s what separates average from excellent. That’s why this location stands out.
Let me be very clear: Angel needs a raise. He needs recognition. And frankly—he needs to be running his own store. If Starbucks is smart, they’ll move fast, because a guy like this? He’s a rare one. And if you don’t invest in him now, some other company will.
Starbucks—if you care about your frontline, if you care about the brand, if you care about real talent—then make Angel a priority. Your store doesn’t feel like just another Starbucks because of people like him. He’s the reason I’ll keep coming back. Not just for the coffee. For the experience.
Good people. Great service. Legendary window. That’s Angel.

Read moreThey gave me wrong item. I had to come back and exchange it on the window. The worst part. The lady with braces that claim that she is one of the manager, did not apologize and just gave me the replacement. It was a classic oatmeal. When I asked for spoon, instead of giving me the spoon she told me that she is not suppose to give me spoon if not asked and it's their policy. I can understand if that even the policy. I did asked for spoon not excuse why no spoon and I buy this classic oatmeal 3 to 4 times a week. I always get the set, oatmeal, almond, raisins, brown sugar and spoon, sometimes they will give napkins. Her service is terrible. First wrong item, then no sorry or apology nor apologetic attitude. Then giving excuse to customer when customer asked her politely for spoon. Fyi I used please and thank you. I work 5 min from there and really want to like this location. First time open team. Super friendly and pro but sorry now. Sometimes not so good service but I accept that but disrespecful to customer ? Especially she is one of the manager? I went there before noon. She is a lady with braces. Work in the pick up window. I hope Starbucks management care enough and fix...
Read moreI love the quality of service here. However when it comes to their parking lot and drive thru services it horrible. You have two lines coming from two directions; one from Inglewood Ave and one from Century. The line from the Century entrance blocks people from parking as well as getting out. There needs to be a better system when it comes to the drive thru and parking. Just like how In-n-out have cones to direct traffic and staff outside it should be for this location as well. It would make sense to have the Century entrance blocked by the drive thru park making drive thru Inglewood entrance only which would allow for people to park without being blocked. Or make it drive thru only no parking which...
