I used the drive- thru on both visits to this Starbucks. What I found very interesting about this location is that if you're paying with a card, BEFORE you are ever served, you have to determine if you want to give a tip and how much of a tip you wish to give. In both instances of me giving a generous tip, I would not have given a tip after the service I received. On the first order, the lady struggled with giving me sugar packages for the coffee I purchased for my Aunt. On my second visit, the last visit I expect to make, I experienced the same difficulty when I asked for sugar to be placed inside of the cup. Finally, I do not like receiving sloppy cups of coffee with coffee spilled all over the coffee top and bottom. I asked for a stem on my last visit and was told they were out of them. I would have preferred to receive two cups of coffee they were not filled to the brim if that meant the coffee would not spill all over my hands and the cup. However, this was not the case. Anyway, I also had to ask for a bag for the two food items I purchased - one for me and one for my Aunt. They were two, separate and distinct items that one simply would not carry in their hands, along with two cups of coffee. I also needed to ask for napkins. That puzzled me. Why would I need to ask for napkins when I ordered items that required eating and drinking? I don't know, but that kind of service tells me a lot about the servers and the management who trained the servers. Finally, I'd like to provide a tip to those businesses that resist giving napkins or any other necessaryaccessories, it's just not civilized for people to have to use their shirts or blouses to wipe their mouths after consuming food...
Read moreHad a completely unexpected and resolvable situation thru the drive-thru. I was using the app to pay for my food, I selected to redeem my points at the window, so the app basically says "at store" and when I pushed that option, the payment option automatically comes up and the girl at the window scans the QR code for payment. I get my food and I asked for my receipt, but after analyzing the receipt there were NO points applied to the final bill, for which I asked why not. The girl at the window is basically confused and tells me that there is nothing that can be done because I never told her that I had points. I told her that I am just following the app and I selected redeem and I pushed that option and the payment automatically rolls over for Visa QR and it's scanned. The employee notifies another girl after a few back and forth and another employees comes over and I repeat the same scenario, for which she says "We can't read your mind" and "they didn't design the app"... I'm like OK... I didn't design it either. She then says, we can void it out and start over, I say "fine"...but then she has more attitude and says, I'll just refund you your money,..bye!....starts to close the window in my face. I tell her that I will make sure who ever owns this store hears about this unprofessional behavior....she then says, tell them I'm "Kelly".... What could have been a comfortable exchange turned into a really unprofessional behavior issue with this girl who took what I was saying as personal. Better training...
Read moreHey, Starbucks groupie & Inglewood resident here. I've had my shared of drive-thru and mobile pickup orders on a weekly basis with many of the Starbucks in the Inglewood area. This is my two-cents and a nickel on this location. Let's jump right into this review.
This location is at the corner of Centinela & La Cienega - stand alone location. Next door to the Best Western Motel/Hotel.
Drinks (my usuals) Venti strawberry acaí with lemonade, no strawberries, add peach juice Venti green tea with water, add 2 splendas, sometimes I substitute water for lemonade Grande Hot Chocolate w/ extra whipped cream, with a splash of vanilla syrup - kids temp :)
Things to know: Drive-thru and a walk-up window only. There are no tables or chairs available.
Private lot with parking spaces. The lot is small. During peak times you need to be a good driver to maneuver. Lol. I have seen somethings in this parking lot with people not understanding the basics of driving.
I usually walk up and place my order because the drive-thru here is ridiculously long depending on time of day. The staff is friendly. They get my order correct and the wait time isn't long.
*One employee denied me a cup of ice one time. Stating due to inventory I couldn't get a cup of ice- really? *
I have learned that the refreshers/teas taste varies by location. I do wish there was consistency. Flavor is a hit and miss from time to time.
