Not called KY Sushi anymore, but Botan Sushi. They kept the same set-up and menu, but clearly the new management has no idea how this business work. I had been going there for 18 months at least once per week and had never to wait more than 15 minutes for my regular order. Today I placed my order in person, they said it would be a “few minutes”, but 40 minutes later I had to complain to get my order finally ready to go. They did not even offer any gesture to apologize and just said they had a big order from a table inside and needed to serve them first. In the meantime, people kept waiting for online orders not ready. When I told them they had just lost a regular client, they simply could not care less. Finally, like al of this was not enough, I arrived at home to discover the order was wrong and they got me the wrong food. Went back, asked for full refund, they had me waiting 10 minutes to figure out how to do it, asked me to refund me in cash because they “could not find the transaction”, got me the money and then I when checked my card I saw they had refund me also in the card. I am an honest person so I went back again and gave them the cash back. You would imagine that after I just saved them $117 they would at least offer me to redo fast my original order for free or something like that. Nope… 95 minutes after arriving there today I still have to go home and cook for me and my family.

Read moreI ordered two dishes which are Alaska roll and sashimi salad. When I asked two meals, the clerk told me that sashimi salad would be with spicy sauce and asked whether I am going to be ok. Based on what I heard I assumed that it may be too much spicy. I asked how spicy it is, she told me that it will be medium spicy. So I ordered it anyway since I did not mind it spicy too. But when it came out, she told me the source is not actually spicy at all. That was my first experience. The moment when she came to me asking if there is anything I need, I asked more gingers. When she came back with gingers, I noticed too much gingers shown on the picture.
Food was ok, but as a worker, she should have been well known about the food she serves instead of making people worried about how spicy the meal would be. Secondly, there is expectation how much sides will be needed based on how much remaining food was left. But she brought too much food making me offended and sorry for remaining food wasted. Those are main two feelings when you faced these situations, worried and sorry. These should be avoided when you come to...
Read moreFirst of all, As a business owner myself, I have a very hard time giving any business a 2 star review. Reviews mean so much to a business, and it kills me to have to give this restaurant a 2 star review. This is the first time Ive ever given below a 4 star review to any business.
I have no idea how this place has almost 5 star reviews. Maybe I just got unlucky here, but Ive never had such bad sushi in my entire life. Even makes Grocery store sushi seem like the worlds best sushi.
When you hear people making jokes about "Gas Station Sushi," this is exactly what id imagine that would taste like.
Unless management wants to remake my order for me to give it another try, then ill be keeping this review as a 2 star, as I would never spend another dime on sushi like I received from this restaurant.
2 Stars simply because they were open during the hours they have...
