Have been going to this location for years, always liked the pub atmosphere and customers I’ve known a long time.
I retired recently, just returned from a celebration trip to Istanbul Turkey, DFW and brought my wife to our normal hotel layover close by this Aspen Creek Grill Location.
Told my wife I was really looking forward to a Hopadillow IPA, a ribeye loaded with the chefs awesome garlic and mushrooms, a side green beans and broccoli-normally I get apple pie with two alamode’s and some times when I know who’s working at the hotel I stay, I pick up two or three Caesar salad’s and grilled chicken breast for their salad …… 20:50….
We entered, the hostess-es there were two, very sweet as always and noticed I brought my wife. I said; “Girls we’ld like to sit at the bar area, ok if we seat ourselves?” We received a welcome wave in and proceeded to sit ourselves down. We sat down at a long table just back from the bar top looking at Nathan and a few new employees.
Nathan was really very Rude when I asked if they had the IPA we always come in for;
“Nope, just hooked up a while ago-going to take till tomorrow to be cold enough!”
I asked the long table waiter-a brunette¿ Calm and with a smile….How about warm IPA we always ask for water no ice. Ultimately snapped no!
Do you have any canned IPA’s? Listen, we don’t have any canned beer or beer here for you tonight!!
My wife looked at me said; We’ve never been treated like this before at any restaurant…I interrupted and said let’s get the hell out of this place.
Returned to our hotel, not looking forward to having to explain where my friends Caesar salads with chicken are…..
The Chef here is great, but finally when the atmosphere and service suck….getting treated like dirt with...

Food is still grat and affordable but please do better on to go orders.
Monday night I made a curbside order. I went in to get the order because it was late. I asked for a to go cup of water. She charged me 3.49. When asked about it she said she would remove it and I gave the water back. She said she would get my food And a manager. I said just leave the charge and bring a strawberry lemonade instead. She goes back grabs the food and brings out regular lemonade. She also added the lemonade on top off the 3. 49 water so we still have to wait for a Manger and recieve another drink.
Today
I make an uber eats pick up order to pick up on the way to work because i didnt have my card. The to go girl says I need you to confirm your order. I tell her my name and order. She says no I need to see it on your phone. I questioned and told her I am picking up my own paid order from online. I made the order from my computer not the phone. So i start to download the app and now about to be late. While downloading she says you can just take it. I said it is almost done and I asked again about it being my personal paid order not a delivery driver she then says you can talk manager. Ma'am a few minutes ago you offered to just give it to me and now you see I'm late and frustrated you offer to speak with a Manager? Make it make sense. I look at the receipt it says Olo (online) My name -PU (pick up) and paid. What is the difference of me ordering directly from website?
Food is great. Large portions. The service was fast and friendly. The music was extremely loud. Not a good place for business prospects to meet. Music is a little loud. I have become a...
Read moreOur dinner experience started out well. However, it quickly derailed into a less than pleasant experience.
The steakhouse was not overly busy when our party arrived, and as such, we were seated quickly. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to get our drinks. She was exceptionally helpful with our party's allergen concern; one of our party members has a severe allergy to pepper. Unfortunately, after being so helpful, the waitress forgot our plates, silverware, and part of our drink order. After three requests, we received our silverware and plates. The generously portioned appetizer was delicious, as was most of our meal. The member of our party with the allergy concern was unable to eat most of their food as their steak came out closer to "black and blue" rather than medium, and one of their sides came full of pepper. Thankfully, the amount of pepper was visible, and they just avoided the side altogether. The rest of the meal was spent attempting to flag down our waitress while we finished our meal and asking for the check.
Overall, what we could eat was good, the service started off great, and the prices are decent. I'm not really sure what happened in the middle that caused such a drastic slowdown in service and the order mishaps. Might try this place again, but not any time soon. Also, slightly irritated with how insistent the manager was to negotiate a food swap/remake rather than just taking the uneaten meal off of our bill after we repeatedly said we were not able to wait for a remake as the entire table had already finished their meal by the time the manager finally came to our table and our hotel did not have the space for an...
