As a vegan I was here just looking to see if I could have some chips and salsa, maybe some beans & rice sometimes during lunch. The atmosphere was not nice for me considering the open air cooking of enormous amounts of chicken, which I suppose is normally a "good" thing, though it probably does no favors to the actual food quality. The food I got was a good price though the chips were of a low quality, actually an enormous amount though. The salsa then was questionable too. I didn't see any markers for what any of it was, and the one I liked the most seemed to have sour cream in it. I asked the cashiers for the recipe & I was told they could not give it out. It's not that good to be so secretive, actually I would say it's barely worth the while. So a customer got to translate for me & asked for me if they used any animal products in the salsa, as that's all I really cared about. The cashier looked panicked, raised both of her hands, and said no. I don't find this was honest & it makes me not want to return. I would not risk that again because that would be food...
Read moreStopped by at 8:34am. WOW, rotisserie chicken was already ready to go and made it smell so good! Everything was freshly clean, and the chairs were just coming down. Service was excellent, and the young lady was super nice and let me try every fresh water to see which one I wanted. They were all very good, and you could tell they were just made. I got the flautas, STUFFED with some of that delicious rotisserie chicken, and the plate came with 5 of them. Usually, restaurants like to do 3 for the same price, which I was pleasantly surprised how stuffed they were! Would recommend to check it out, even at 8am. I would look at other photos, but EVERYTHING looked like it would be really good, especially if it's all freshly made chicken done infront of you.
Also, there was a guy loading more chicken, ribs, legs, unions into the rotisserie while I ate. Was...
Read moreTried this place yesterday. Ordered the half chicken with rice beans and tortillas. The beans were homemade and had that authentic ranchero bean flavor with plenty of weenies and bacon. I would come back for the beans alone. The rice was simple and not over salted, great texture. The tortillas were hot and fresh. The chicken is seasoned simply, I don’t think they use a bunch of cumin, chili powder, and heavy herbs like Pollo Regio. The breast meat was a bit dry but it’s tough to get breast meat juicy while making sure the other meat is fully cooked. Great salsas. I would suggest they introduce a combo with chicken and ribs so people can try both. Two pieces of chicken and two ribs. Just a thought. All in all I would definitely come back a...
