I normally try to accentuate the positive aspects when I review places, but our recent encounter at Cici's Pizza left my family and I no other choice but to share our disappointing and stressful experience.
We walked into Cici's, brimming with anticipation of a warm, inviting ambiance and mouthwatering pizza. Instead, what we encountered was the absolute antithesis.
Our order was placed with an employee who seemed fairly inexperienced, but that is no crime; we have all had our first days on the job. But the chain of events that ensued was what tainted our evening.
There was a mix-up with our order. It wasn't a big deal initially; mistakes happen, right? But instead of rectifying the situation, the manager turned it into an unwarranted confrontation, which was absolutely uncalled for. She displayed an unprofessional level of animosity and started blaming us for the misunderstanding, completely disregarding the fact that it was an error on the part of their staff.
The manager's aggressive demeanor left us feeling as though we were the culprits for something we had no hand in. The atmosphere instantly turned hostile, transforming what should have been a leisurely family dinner into a tense situation, causing unease amongst us and other patrons.
In addition to the horrible customer service, the pizza we eventually received was far from great. It was lukewarm, undercooked, and unappetizing, a stark contrast from the delicious pizza we had expected based on Cici's reputation.
Ultimately, the experience was deeply disheartening. An outing that was supposed to be filled with laughter, warm pizza, and family bonding became a stressful, uncomfortable event. The mishandled situation and the manager's antagonistic behavior left us with a bitter taste that no amount of sweet dessert pizza could cleanse.
This particular Cici's branch needs a serious reality check on how to handle customers with respect and dignity. Our experience was a textbook example of how not to manage a restaurant, and unless there are some serious changes, we won't be returning.
Cici's, you seriously dropped the ball on this one. We expected a lot...
Read moreThis evening we visited CICI Pizza at 3435 N Beltline Rd Irving TX 75062 for my niece birth celebration. This was my first time going to this food chain. We were two families with 4 adults and 7 children (15, 13, 9, 7, 4, and a 3-year-old). The restaurant in charge Belinda Gorostieta took our order of more than $100. As she hands us soda cups for all of us, we told her that we only want cups for 8 people. She very rudely told us that we had to tell her this beforehand, as she now has to cancel the order and do it again (Note that, this was my first time at any CICI Pizza). She is keep looking at all of us, as we settled on tables and started eating. Within minutes Ms Gorostieta approached us and said that "You guys bought fewer sodas and you are not allowed to share". I told her that we were not sharing, then she said "You are sharing, we have the cameras". My husband approached her and told her about her bad behavior in front of our kids. She called the cops on us. My kids were crying and shaking. When the cops arrived she told the same lie to the cops that we were stealing soda for which we didn't pay and that my husband punched her (wow). All her staff was very swift to start recording us.
Cops simple asked us to leave the premises. We paid more than $106.44, received extremely rude customer service, hardly ate anything, and got blamed for stealing their soda. I'm sure my niece would remember and talk about this intimidating birthday event for many years to come.
I can not even comment on the food as we did not get to eat and CICI Pizza took our $106.44. Please do not go to this place under the management of...
Read moreWe have lived in Irving for 17 years and this is the Cicis we always go to once or at times twice a week. We visited this past Sunday January 5th and it was very hectic in there. I have never seen this place in such disarray as it was this past sunday. There were about 20 tables open, however they all had dirty plates on them. Where no one has come out to clean off tables, I actually had to wait for a table to be cleaned off so I could sit down and eat. I overheard plenty of complaints from other customers as well while there. One lady told me that the manager was rude to her. Another lady complained to the very nice young lady at the register, that she had been waiting on her wings for 45 minutes and she wanted her money back. I seen another couple having to clear off a table and clean it themselves just so they could sit down. I did notice the manager was not the same one that I was used to seeing there. The manager that I am used to seeing there is very friendly, polite, and welcoming. We missed seeing him that's for sure, he is by far the best Manager we have seen there ever. This Manager that was there although looks like he was working very hard with the staff. He just didnt have that welcoming inviting attitude as the other one does. Hopefully this experience that we had there does not continue and the regular Manager was just on Vacation or took a day off. As I said normally this place is awesome and we really enjoy eating here. Not sure what was going on that evening and hope that it was just a hectic night that will not repeat itself. As it was a terrible experience from the many years we have been...
