Normally this is where I will talk about the food, but I'm gonna start out with the service. Lilly was my wife and my waitress, and I've never in my life been served by anyone that is as sweet, kind, and honorable as she is. My wife and I are truckers from Louisiana. Lilly will remember us because we had a son that went to Nichols college in Louisiana just like her husband did (I believe). From the instant Lilly greeted us at the door, until the moment I actually returned inside to ask her her name, she made my wife and I feel right at home. She made eye contact every time she would speak to us, and even my wife said that when she looked into this lovely lady's eyes, she felt how kind and caring Lilly was. We both agreed that we couldn't see her having even an ounce of evil in her. If you talk to her, you'll see. She's wonderful. The food was perfect, and still she was the best part of the experience. I'm sorry for the long rant about Lilly, but you all need to know what a wonderful person you've got working for you. As for the food, My wife had yaki soba noodles with beef shrimp combo, and ordered no vegetables, and I ordered the Katana 101 roll and the Godzilla roll, as well as salmon teriyaki. The food was absolutely amazing. The plate presentation, the cleanliness of the restaurant from the front counter to the restrooms were 15/10. The food was 15/10. Lilly was 100/10. Fantastic all around experience and if you choose to dine here, you won't be disappointed. I've never left a restaurant feeling this happy in my entire life, and that's the Gods honest truth. The mango cheesecake is also great, my wife and I shared that for dessert and it was quite literally the best piece of cheesecake I've ever had, and being a big guy, I LOVE food and I especially LOVE cheesecake. It was just the right amount of sweet, not too sweet, garnished beautifully with whipped cream, diced mango on top of the whipped cream, and two small strawberry slices on the side, which held up the mint leaf that garnished the plate. I'm including the pictures I took for context. Thank you again, Lilly, you made our entire shitty week before we met you 1000% better.

My wife and I just ate here for lunch, and we weren’t expecting we’d find a gem like this amidst the many food places around Las Colinas. We ordered calamari for starter, special dragon roll, and grilled salmon bento. The food is impeccably timed—they really serve the food with great precision one after the other. We asked a small plate so we could share everything we ordered. The front of the house is a Japanese gentleman who very politely directed us to where we should sit. The menu was very organically put together, and to fastforward, our orders were nothing but perfection! The servings were right, the sauce on the roll was of right amount, the tempura was nicely cooked and nit oily at all. I believe it’s a family-owned business because they work as a unit, less more like a team but more like a family. Our server is a Latina girl, not very smiley but very efficient. And, the luncheon experience was just great. Try it if you are looking for a good Japanese resto in the DFW complex— it’s the best we’ve been to so far from Dallas to Ft. Worth including its middle cities. It won’t disappoint. It’s also decently prices for its quality. It would be more expensive to eat food like this in Japan than here in Irving.

I don't like writing negative reviews because I know restaurants are trying hard to catch up from 2020. But my first experience eating here was just not good. We have a great sushi place we love in Plano but I was staying in Las colinas for the night and didn't want to drive 30-45 minutes to our normal spot. So I tried little katana. The prices are just way more than normal sushi places, and especially amazing places that are well known. This place was about $2 more per roll than any other place we've been to. If the quality was outstanding I could understand the price increase but it was nowhere near that. The fish didn't taste super fresh and the rolls were extremely TINY! Like really SMALL! I asked for a side of Japanese mustard vinaigrette or spicy mayo and they wanted to charge me for a little bit of dip. Then when I ordered a roll and I wanted to switch out the crab on top for salmon they couldn't figure out how much the upcharge would be. One waitress asked another waitress then they both went and asked the chef, all discussing it loudly right behind me. Chef decided it was a $4 up charge! I totally understand charging extra because salmon is more expensive than crab, but $4? I can get a whole salmon roll for $6. And they didn't even put that much salmon on top even with the extra charge. And $8 for 3 pieces of soggy shrimp shumai as an appetizer?

For 1 shrimp shumai, and 2 rolls my bill was $50! WTH?! FOR 1 PERSON!!!! That's just insane. At Uni Sushi in plano it costs $50 when both my husband I eat & it's always fresh with much bigger rolls. And they don't nickel and dime you when you ask for a sauce or a side of tempura flakes.

The waitresses tried to be helpful in accommodating & apologize profusely about all the extra charges but it seemed like their hands were tied. And the atmospheric was ok. Clean but...

(This review was originally written 8 years ago and has had its 1-star review refreshed as there was never acknowledgement from management or the owner)

Everything was great, minus the part where we got billed for a $35.00 plate we didn't order. It was a slow night so I'm not sure where the confusion came from. Everything we ordered was checked off on paper. Our server was also the bartender, Holly. There was something weird about one of the plates because it looked like a bigger version of the katana rolls we had ordered. We tried it but didn't care for it. (Turns out that was the dish we never ordered on paper and the server messed up and put the order in) After our meal was cleared, Holly dropped the check. We asked if we could see dessert and she named them off. Once our tab arrived it was significantly higher than what we had planned for. We were being billed for a plate we did not order. After pointing it out, Holly spoke with the manager for a while until she finally just came by with the fixed check and slapped it on our table and said "I'll pay for it." as she dropped the new check, she stormed off. There was no "thank you for coming" or anything. Even after we had ordered our food we had to ask for dessert. She was rushing. As I type up this review I still noticed her look at my tab with our tip and she slammed it down in front of the bar. (I leave %15 of the subtotal when the...
