Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Irving

Came in on 6/8 around 5:45pm, was greeted by a gentleman who misgendered me but I let it slide & continued with my order, then a young lady came from the back with a spoon in her mouth so I presumed she was eating, the man continued to serve me and yet again misgendered me so I corrected him & once I did he made a gesture to the woman as if he was annoyed or didn’t care about me correcting him, then the woman rung me up and she proceeded to Misgender me like I didn’t correct him right in front of her. On top of that the ice cream area was filthy, the toppings were too & my toppings were hard, basically inedible. How do you screw up icecream?! Extremely humiliated and insulted by an employee named Tammy who claimed to be the manager of the store. (I later found out, after some research that she is NOT the manager; she also refused to give her name. Only found out by looking at the receipt ). The people around me thought that she was being racist. I dont want to jump to that conclusion without first properly speaking to the manager, but i had to leave in a hurry after paying because i had kids with me and didnt want them to have to see her extremely rude behavior towards my family and I. I walked into this location on Macarthur Blvd today May 28th around 4:30 mask and all. I was astounded to see the employee assisting customers with no mask. I asked if they wore masks and she replied: we do. So I said but you’re not wearing one right now? I walked out, she simply looked up and dismissively replied, Have a good one. How disgusting and disrespectful for you to come in contact with hundreds of customers and cannot even show the respect of wearing a mask. That respect I at least gave to you.if that is the attitude of this location I’m concerned for how general hygiene is enforced here....
