Mariscos La Marea Irving — Restaurant in Irving

Mariscos La Marea is a fun restaurant that has a lot to offer. I found it on good ole Google while looking for Aguachiles in my area.

I love the openness of the dining area. The chairs are this really cool blue color that really gets your attention. There are also string lights around the walls that kind of give it a tiki/tropical vibe. Very chill. I was lucky to visit when it was not busy .

I started things off with a frozen Pina Colada. It was cold and creamy. Just how I like it. I almost had 2. I was going to order the Aguachiles Verde but I wasn’t in the mood to feel a burning inferno in my mouth. I decided on the Caldo Mixto. I knew from the moment that I laid my eyes on it, that it was going to be GOOD. The broth was a beautiful reddish orange color. I have found that the clearer broths are dang near tasteless. This was not the case here. The soup was delicious. The fish and the shrimp were very fresh. It did not taste like frozen stuff . My only complaint was that the soup did not come with tortillas on the side. It came with a tasty piece of garlic bread, but I would’ve preferred tortillas. My cousin was my lunch buddy for this visit. She said that her Camarones A La Plancha was on point.

I really enjoyed my meal and I am looking forward to trying more things on the menu, like their Aguachiles. If you want delicious Mexican food, make your way over to Mariscos La Marea. It is worthy...

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! We came here today because we were craving some seafood. We had the guacamole and there was no taste and the onion was not chopped finely but whole big pieces…We had the red snappers with garlic and it was a nightmare. Not cleaned fish and it was overcooked and burned. Barely any fish was left to eat. Went to put the piece of bread in my mouth and I see mold all over the bread. The server didn’t come to the table and didn’t apologize at all for the mold on the bread or the service. The food took over an hour and when it came it was terrible. Did you not see the mold when you placed it in front of me on the table? We didn’t get a refill for our coke the whole time we were there and to top it all off we ended up paying for the whole meal and they didn’t offer us anything instead or a discount on the food and NO apology at all. Do yourself a favor and DONT go to this place. I’m hoping that I don’t end up with food...

As soon as we sat down the waitress asked what we wanted to drink .Answered that question then we were asked what we wanted to eat.Told her to give us some time to look over the menu.She went and got our drinks and asked us again . Asked to give is a few more min. She went to the next table to see how they were doing and came right back and asked again. So we ordered... I picked a mix plate of fried food.I can't say what plate because i didn't have time to look thru the menu.. It was not the best food Will not be going back.. To top it off , one will have to count their change if you give cash.. The waitress put the change down and walked away . i counted the change and was missing $20.00 . I got her attention and told her i was missing money and she handed me 20 without me having to tell her how much i was missing .I guess she was helping...
