+JMJ I cannot believe this, but my very honest review from last year was removed. It read thus:
"The staff here was profoundly rude to me and even seemed to mock me. After my meal, which wasn't memorable, I stayed in the restaurant and remained seated to take care of some work related matters on my device. The restaurant was dark inside that afternoon, and the staff had all the blinds closed, which felt sketchy to me. (Before my meal, I was also getting hot and one of the wait staff informed me that the AC was broken, and I moved to another table so that I could sit underneath a fan. Also, the tables were crummy, and I recall having to wipe mine down myself, since the wait staff had not). In the end, I tried to open the blinds and one of the wait staff sitting at a table with another waitress bellowed at me to stop from the other end of the restaurant and the other wait staff laughed. I was so offended by their behavior that I threatened to walk out without paying. The manager insisted that I couldn't do this and, even worse, was unapologetic about her subordinate's behavior.
Having been a waiter myself for a year-and-a-half, there were several problems with these women's behavior. First of all, wait staff is not supposed to lounge around at the tables while customers are seated. It gives the impression of lazy employees. Secondly, if they do not want customers adjusting blinds, they should calmly explain this. Yellling at them over this from the other end of the dining room is probably one of the most idiotic things to do. Waiters are also always told to put the comfort of the customer first, and they should first and foremost consider this before denying the customer their desire to open the blinds near their table. Secondly, if a customer is angry over being mistreated, the employer should never verbally side with her employees, but be as apologetic as possible. She should also take the threat to not pay over this seriously and even give the customer his or her way if it seems the customer has been clearly mistreated or poorly waited on.
Terrible experience. A great example of unethical behavior at...
Read moreWonderful World of Cooking is a culinary gem that’s serving up Southern and Tex-Mex perfection with so much heart it feels like a warm Texas embrace! This is a must-visit for anyone who loves food that slaps your taste buds in the best way. Let’s talk highlights: their onion rings are pure magic—light, crispy, flaky, and clearly made from scratch with love. Dip them in their ranch, and you’re basically floating to flavor heaven. Miss that ranch? You’re missing nirvana. The chips and salsa? Hands-down the best I’ve ever had. The chips are so crisp and airy they might just levitate off your plate, and the in-house-made salsa is a spicy, warm, flavor-packed masterpiece. It’s so good it could make a cardboard box taste amazing (kidding… kinda)! Fair warning: it’s SPICY, like “clear your sinuses” spicy, but the fresh, just-made warmth takes it to a whole new level. And let’s not sleep on the Enchilada Santa Clara—oh, mama! Two enchiladas stuffed with sautéed spinach and tender chicken, smothered in a creamy spinach sauce that’s rich and dreamy, served with charro beans and rice that tie it all together like a Tex-Mex love letter. This dish is a game-changer, bursting with flavor and comfort in every bite. The burgers are juicy and delicious, and the Southern classics—meatloaf, pot roast, chicken fried steak, fried chicken—are all on point, hitting that soul-food sweet spot. But those onion rings, chips, salsa, and the Enchilada Santa Clara? They’re the superstars that’ll keep you coming back. Wonderful World of Cooking is proof that great food and passion can turn any meal into a memory. Run, don’t walk, to this spot—you’ll leave stuffed, smiling, and already craving...
Read moreMy visit started out not to be so great. No one greeted me and my family at the door. We seated our self and waited a while finally a waitress came. After the waitress took our order and brought our drinks she never came to check on us which was a while. They were not busy, she only had us and one other table. She forgot my grand daughters drink but if she would have stopped by our table to ask if we needed more coffee or anything we could have reminded her. I don’t even mind when wait staff forgets things, I used to be a waitress but she never spoke to us for us to remind her!! We walked out before our food came and left $5 on the table for our drinks. Then as we get to our car the manager runs out to stop us and tell us our food is almost ready and to come back and give a discount on the meal to give them a chance. He was sincere but we were hesitant not wanting the waitress to be rude to us, he assured us and gave us another waitress who was very sweet. The food was great! As far as the other reviews they have that are not good , it looks like they are mostly service related. I know waiting tables is hard, but if this is your job, just a simple hi to people who walk in, I’ll be right with you. Check on your tables , even you are super busy, still tell them you are sorry and you’re really busy and will be with them soon. In my case they were not busy at all and made us feel un welcome. I would definitely give them a try again since it was just one waitress and maybe she was...
