Tastee Ice — Restaurant in Irving

This is my absolute favorite snow cone place, but today was just a horrible customer service experience. My family, 9 of us in two vehicles, pulled toward the building and saw people at the walk up window. So instead of waiting in the drive thru line with a bunch of small children, my father and I walked up to the window. They were clearly serving a woman in front of us out of it, but when her transaction was done, the teenage girl slammed the window on us. We waited for a second thinking she's taking the next car's order. She then opened the window and told us, "We're not taking walk ups." And slammed the window again.

My dad pointed at the woman who was still walking back to her car after being served from said window literally in front of us. She opened the window again and told us her car was overheating so she walked up. We told her we had two cars and were ordering for both, and she again said, "We're not serving walk ups!" And slammed the window for a third time.

I hate having a bad customer experience here, because again they are the best snow cones in the area. But we might have to think about going back if we see her...

They must be heavily, and I mean HEAVILY affected by the Pandemic. I wanted to try a new flavor. Picked out black cherry. Tasted it. Seemed fine. Bought it with cream. Worst. Decision. Ever. So I turn around. Just a cup of ice right?

Wrong.

This .31 cent cup absolutely could not be taken back. Me: "Can I switch it out for a different flavor, I really didn't like that black cherry" Cashier 1:"OH sorry we can't do that" Me: "Uh okay can I speak to the manager?" Manager: "We can't do that because you already took the cup"

Uh.. a styrofoam cup at bulk costs .31 cents. And Ice? Free. Maybe 2 cents for the flavor? So .33 cents and I have to buy a whole other snow cone for $2.50.

Cheap as hell. I live right around the corner! They could easily make a $1000 from how many times I have and would've stopped there!

Nickel and dime much? Ew. Won't be back.

I recently visited this business and was extremely disappointed with the customer service. The staff were rude and unhelpful, particularly when I asked for assistance with my order vector was wrong! The lady at the window taking orders got my order WRONG even after she repeated my order back to me and would not fix it! Another lady comes from the back talking crazy as well. It’s like they were incompetent unable to understand the issue . This experience left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer. Based on this, I cannot recommend Tastee Ice to others and will not be returning. Also the ice is just chopped up chunks of flavorless ice and...
