Mariscos La Marina Irving — Restaurant in Irving

This place changed a lot when it changed name and ownership. I went twice since then, the first time I noticed the change in the food and customer service but I went again to give the place a chance. HORRIBLE..seriously just awful. The molcajete we ordered was as small as a salad plate. The meat they claim was fajita looked more like bistec ( I know the difference) the Tablitas were nowhere to be found. The rice and beans were ice cold. Like literally out of the fridge. When I finally caught someone’s attention they gave me an attitude and took the plates away only to come back later with the same plate at room temperature. 30 minutes later when they brought out my cocktail it was LAME. Seriously only Clamato and soggy shrimp. I never saw the avocado, and the onion and tomato were slices ( never see that in a cocktail before) All this while out drinks stayed empty the entire night. For a small hole in the wall restaurant I would understand, but these people are charging $8.99 for a tostada!!!! 1 tostada ! And $16.99 for a shrimp cocktail. Needless to say there will be no third change on my behalf. Don’t waste your time and especially money. We brought my mom here after a bad surgery to try to boost her spirits but the whole ordeal just made...

Food is delicious but the you need to be a man to be able to get good service here. I only go to get to go food and they ignore you specially if there is man at the bar. They mess the order etc. Adding to my review., last time I was there I mean about a month ago I went again to order to go... I order just a couple mix soup because my grandson was sick and we love it. We were just getting that because we were at the last of money before paycheck again and since is to go you don’t have to give a tip. (I normally do but I couldn’t this time) well my last money in the card and the waitress took 5 dollar tip with out me putting it on the ticker I even specify $0 on the tip line of the ticket until we left we find out the the withdrawal from the bank dad bigger than the price of the order. I spoke to the lady who brought the food to us. She asked if I want it to talk to the manager. I told her no, I didn’t want anybody to lose their job for $5.00 I still love the food... I hate...

First of all,

Food was COLD!

Second of all,

Server was not attentive at all. She was too busy being attentive to what seemed like her boyfriend and his table since he was being all touchy feely on her. Manager watched her being touched on by them and didn’t do anything about it.

They seemed heavily inebriated. Not sure why they kept getting alcohol served:

Waited over 15 mins to get my tab and I got tired of waiting, had to go to the front to be able to get my tab.

Manager was hanging out at the entrance being nonchalant about the way the server was acting.

This place used to be so much better. Will NOT be coming back.

Will be notifying the City of Irving about them serving alcohol to people who are obviously way too intoxicated.

POOR FOOD QUALITY! POOR MANAGEMENT! POOR SERVICE!!!!!
