Buffett Food Taste - Decent to good Varieties in Buffett - A good amount Service - Joke
Today has been incredibly chaotic! My assessment leans more towards evaluating the service rather than the food quality. I would seriously reconsider whether returning here is a viable option.
This marks our 10th or 11th visit to this establishment. Despite consistent dissatisfaction with the chaotic table arrangements, we kept returning due to the generally decent to good taste of the majority of items in the buffet section. However, today, the chaos surrounding the service and atmosphere reached an unprecedented level.
Let's begin with the lady stationed at the front counter. She has a shorter stature and a robust build(Apologies as I couldn't recall her name). With the exception of our first visit when a gentleman was present, she has been the face of the front counter for all our visits. Unfortunately, her demeanor lacks warmth, and she consistently appears more focused on collecting payments than providing service. Given the predictable rush during lunch hours for the buffet, why hasn't the management devised a solution to mitigate the inconvenience for everyone involved?
The per-person price was set at $25 plus tax per head for Mother's Day today. They also conducted decent marketing around this event, indicating an expected increase in customer traffic compared to regular days. I would like to inquire about the additional measures they implemented to manage the influx of customers. Upon arrival, we were informed of a 30-minute wait. At the 30-minute mark, when I inquired about the wait time, I was told it would be another 5 to 10 minutes at most. So brought my family in. However, after 15 minutes when inquired again, we were informed that we were next in line. Yet, there were still three more parties ahead of us, and it took precisely 1 hour and 18 minutes to secure a table. We had young children with us, but there was nowhere to sit while waiting. If they anticipated an additional 45-minute wait beyond the initially quoted 30 minutes, why misinform us with a shorter waiting time?
Considering the significant influx of customers, what measures were taken at the food counter? Unfortunately, it seems there were no additional steps taken and it was a chaos there as well with many customers attempting to get food at the same time. They even failed to update the name boards when swapping existing food items.
So why the increased pricing for Mother's Day? They added a couple of extra items, a rose, and a small bottle of Mango Lassi. However, considering this is a buffet, the extra food options didn't significantly enhance the dining experience. It appears they simply seized the opportunity to increase profits without much regard for customer...
Read moreLast weekend, we had a wedding event in South Padre, TX, and we were searching for an Indian restaurant that could cater for us. For nearly six months, we contacted several Indian restaurants, most either declined due to the 10+ hour drive or quoted extremely high prices. Luckily, we found Mythri’s Restaurant, and what an amazing experience it turned out to be!
From the very beginning, the owners **Sudha, Satish, and Chandra, were incredibly patient and attentive. They listened carefully to all our concerns and provided a very reasonable quote, well within our budget. Honestly, we were initially a bit skeptical since their pricing was much lower than other Dallas-area Indian restaurants, but we were proven completely wrong.
The team arrived around 11 PM and began prepping by 3 AM. The dedication of the owners was truly impressive, they personally monitored every detail of the preparation.
The food was simply exceptional:
*Appetizers: The vegetable lollipop was a standout beautifully balanced flavors and perfect for vegetarians. The chilly paneer and cut mirchi were crowd favorites, especially paired with drinks. Main course: The bendi fry, sambar, cashew fried rice, and vegetable biryani were cooked to perfection, bursting with authentic flavors. Their dal was one of a kind, comforting, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Desserts: Absolutely top class! We had five varieties, and they were an instant hit. Most trays were gone within the first 30 minutes, but the Mythri’s team kept refilling them with a smile. Breakfast: The next morning, we were treated to Pongal,Tomato Bath, vada with a variety of chutneys and sambar. Every bite was delicious, the aroma of ghee made it truly special.
The presentation and attention to detail were also exceptional. Every dish looked inviting and was served fresh and hot.
Overall, Mythri’s Restaurant exceeded every expectation. Their professionalism, dedication, and passion for great food made our wedding event memorable. I would wholeheartedly recommend them for any catering event, large or small.
The owners were personally involved in every step of the preparation and never left the site. They barely slept no more than 10 hours over two days. Their dedication and passion were truly commendable.
Thank you, Sudha, Satish, and Chandra, for making our event such...
