If you’re looking for a place that serves mouthwatering, flavorful food with exceptional service, Shah’s Halal Food in Irving is an absolute must-visit! I recently had the chance to try their chicken platter and chicken gyro, and let me just say, they were out of this world. The taste was phenomenal, with perfectly seasoned chicken that was tender and juicy. The toppings added an extra layer of freshness and crunch, creating a combination that felt like pure harmony in every bite.
The chicken platter deserves special mention—it’s truly a standout dish. The way the rice, chicken, toppings, and sauces came together was nothing short of perfection. It’s one of those meals where you know you can never go wrong, no matter what your taste preferences are. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Shah’s Halal Food.
We also tried the chicken Philly and the spicy burger with fries. Both were delicious in their own right. The chicken Philly was packed with flavor, while the spicy burger had just the right amount of heat to keep things exciting. The fries were perfectly crispy and made for a great side.
The service was extraordinary—staff members were friendly, welcoming, and ensured that every detail of our order was perfect. They went above and beyond to make us feel valued, which made the experience even better.
Located in Irving, Shah’s Halal Food is easy to find and offers a casual, inviting atmosphere. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or looking for a satisfying meal, this place checks all the boxes.
Overall, Shah’s Halal Food delivers on all fronts—taste, quality, service, and value. While everything we tried was good, the chicken platter was hands down the highlight of the meal. I’ll definitely be coming back for more and highly recommend it to anyone...

This was hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. I called in and placed an order for two Philly cheesesteaks, and right after ordering, I specifically asked how long it would take. The woman on the phone clearly told me 10-15 minutes. I was in the area, so I showed up in 5 minutes and waited patiently in my car for another 15 minutes before going in.
When I went inside — a full 20 minutes after placing my order — I expected to grab my food and go. Instead, the guy behind the counter tells me it’ll be another 25-30 minutes because “we only have one person in the kitchen.” When I explained that I was told 10-15 minutes on the phone — and that’s the only reason I was there — this guy straight up tells me, “No, she must’ve said 25-30 minutes,” as if I’m some idiot making it up.
So not only did they completely fail to manage expectations and waste my time, they basically called me a liar to my face. That’s not just bad service — that’s disrespectful.
If you can’t run a kitchen with proper communication and respect for your customers, don’t take orders over the phone. Own your mistake, don’t gaslight your customers.
Never coming back here again. You lost a customer — and probably many more after they...

I’m thrilled that Shah’s Halal Food just opened in Irving! As someone who lived in New York for the past two years, I’ve been missing good halal food since moving back to DFW. Let me tell you—Shah’s has absolutely hit the spot!
I ordered the chicken platter, and it was everything I hoped for and more. The flavors were incredible, the chicken was perfectly cooked, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out. The portion size was just right—not too little, not too much—just perfect.
To top it off, I was helped by the owner himself, and the service was impeccable. He was so friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.
I can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu! I’ll definitely be recommending Shah’s to all of my friends. If you’re anywhere near Irving, don’t sleep on this place. It’s a game-changer for halal food...
