I rarely have bad reviews but I have to share the bad as well...
I'll never visit this Wendy's again. My issue was I wasn't allowed to use mobile pay, and Wendy's app and website states Mobile pay accepted. I use Samsung Pay on a Galaxy Note 9 for 3+ years so I know where my phone works and doesn't work.
I pulled into this Wendy's at approximately 10 pm, after having a nice evening with my family. I ordered about $20 dollars worth food. Get to the window, have my rewards scanned because I dine at Wendy's few times a month, I could tell by cashier reaction he didn't want to scan my phone, I told him I was gonna pay with my phone, he tells/ask if its apple pay, I said "no it's samsung pay", he then says "we don't take samsung pay", now the old saying if I had a dollar for everytime I heard that I would be rich, but back to my bad service here, I told him "my phone works at most locations I'm told it doesn't", because of research of technology hardware in my specific phone, so I ask "if I could just try to see if it goes through", if it hadn't then I would know it doesn't work at that Wendy's location, and I would have paid with my physical card, so he tells me "no it doesn't work with samsung", I said again "let me try", he basically refused to let me see for myself where I can pay with my mobile phone at. I asked what his name was, he said "Matthew", I pulled off without my meal very upset after having a great day at work and fun evening with my family.
I could have and wanted to invested my $20 in Carl's Jr. next door after this whole ordeal, but my family was set on getting Wendy's. I drove to another Wendy's in Baldwin Park, off 10 fwy and service was excellent 👌. I ordered food for family, was greeted with smiles, allowed to use my phone to pay, without no snap back of unhappy cashier. When I used my phone to pay, the cashier was shocked, she said "most people's phones don't work", I said "yeah I hear that alot but my phone is in a class of its own", she just laughed and gave me my meals and we went home and ended the night in a better mood.
I recommend Carl's Jr, Farmer Boys, even McDonald's all right there for better service if thats what you expect. I want quality food, but if the customer service interaction is bad, then it's safe to say the service will be reflected in how the food is prepared. If your mouth is set for Wendy's go to Baldwin Park location off 10 fwy in my opinion or just make sure Matthew isn't there, hopefully he gave his correct name, he didn't show me his name plate.
To Wendy's corporation, if your cashier terminals aren't updated to allow more phones to use this feature then remove the false advertising because i wasted 10 mins of my time, wasted gas and getting upset because of misleading...
Read moreMy family and I are very discouraged about the customer service that we experienced at this Wendy's in Irwindale. We placed our order and they asked us to move to the parking lot and wait for them to bring our order out to us. It took them approximately 20 to 25 minutes to bring our food out to us. From our vehicle I saw a Wendy's employee taking the trash out and I attempted to call her so that we can enquire about our order. She heard me and re entered the store without addressing my concern. It appeared that she was inquiring herself about our order. At that time I attempted to call the Wendy's at this location and the phone just kept ringing and no one picked the phone up. The manager sent her back outside with our order instead of the Manager addressing it herself to explain as to why the delay. I explained to the employee that we were kept waiting for an awful long time and asked her why. She apparently didn't know but she was very apologetic. We told her that we were going to complain of this manager at this location. The date was May 30, 2019 at approximately 10 to 10:30. This Wendy's location will not survive if they continue to service the public the way that they do. My family will be contacting Corporate office to discuss...
Read moreI forgot to say no onions in my mobile order so when I got to the window I said can you please make sure there's no onions on the burger as I forgot to do so in the mobile order. He said okay. I also asked him to put no ice in the drink as you cannot do that on the mobile app, and he said okay. He still handed me a drink with ice and when I got home my husband's burger still had onions on it. These kids just don't give a flying f. I am tired of having my order wrong nearly every time it's ridiculous. I went to another location this morning for my breakfast and I asked for extra honey butter I got zero honey butter.
