If breakfast is the most important meal of the day, then Kristy's on the Caribe is the presidential suite of morning feasts! Nestled in the heart of Vieques in Esperanza, this gem is serving up the best breakfast you’ll have on the island.
First off, the portions here are enormous. I’m talking “feed a small village” huge. They say sharing is caring, but here, you’ll be too busy devouring every bite to share. The view? The Caribbean Sea. It's a match made in foodie heaven.
The service is like a warm hug from a long-lost friend. They treat you like family, and by the end of your meal, you might even start wondering if you should send them a Christmas card. Kristy herself is the queen of hospitality, and her warm smile can kickstart your day better than a double espresso.
Now, a little heads-up: they don’t take credit cards. But trust me, those FAT A$$ pancakes are worth every penny (or quarter or crumpled dollar bill). I’m still dreaming about them two weeks later! If I could eat here every morning, I absolutely would. So, if you’re in Vieques and craving a breakfast experience that’s larger-than-life, head to Kristy's on the Caribe. Your taste buds will thank you, and you might just find yourself planning your next visit before...
Read moreKristy's really surprised me. Had heard some so so things from another guest staying at our hotel but decide to check them out for Sunday brunch. I was not disappointed. The coffee was great and the food was super tasty. They are rolling out a new menu so a lot of their new items they have been trialing won't show up on online pictures of the menu.
The service was truly top notch. This is a family owned establishment and they really put a lot of pride and passion into their business. Everyone was super sweet and they were very accommodating of my girlfriends egg allergy. I ordered the yucca bowl and they failed to mention it had aioli in it when I asked about what was in it, so they made a few extra without the aioili so my girlfriend could enjoy them as well.
If you are on Vieques and need a morning pick me up, or an early lunch, go eat here. Also one of the few places...
Read moreWe had a fantastic experience at this spot! The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in.
We ordered the lobster mofongo and the breakfast sandwich, along with two lattes, and everything was made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The flavors were well-balanced, and each bite was a treat. The lobster mofongo, in particular, was a standout—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.
Our waitress went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Not only was she super welcoming, but she also provided us with bug spray (which was much needed in Vieques), showing just how thoughtful and attentive the service was.
From the delicious food to the warm hospitality, this place made our morning extra special. Highly recommended! We’ll...
