First time at Bayside and it did not disappoint! Our server was very friendly and had some great suggestions. We had been told the pizza was the best around so that is our reason for stopping in. We got the saltembuca(sp?) pizza, which was amazing. Great crust, quality toppings, and a perfect blend of flavors made this a great pizza. We also tried the Linguine Carbonara. It was a little different than a traditional carbonara, but it too did not disappoint. The servings were large and we did not stand a chance finishing them there so we took home what ended up being a whole 2nd meal for us.
Pricing is average for the island, and the couple glasses of wine pushed our total to near $100 after a nice tip.
We loved the food, atmosphere, and service so much that we are trying to plan our next dinner out there again soon!
They also have video games in the front and some pinball games in back. I did not play any games this time, but definitely plan to play a bit next time. But a great distraction for the...
Read moreThis place was the best place we have eaten while on vacation. The food is amazing!! The fun little outside courtyard is a great place to share a meal and enjoy the outdoors. Our waitress was very sweet. We really enjoyed her. My husband loved the lobster bisque soup. We also shared the Shrimp Francese. We have never had anything as good as this dish. We found out the owners are generations of Italians. We have traveled all over Italy and this dish, hands down incredible!! We also had a cannoli, which is spot on!! And we also shared Chocolate Mousse Pie. This pie melted in our mouth. Fabulous Mousse Pie. If you are traveling through the Keys, do not pass through Islamorada without stopping at Bayside Gourmet. I promise you’ll absolutely love it. The only down side for us is we are leaving and can’t come back again. But, this will be a stop we make anytime we come to Southern Florida. Thank you for your amazing service and food!! If you want to open a store in the middle of...
Read moreThe food was great, the pizza fabulous, the Chef's Salad amazing.
However, I will say that I felt uncomfortable because the 'chef' or owner of the restaurant walked out from behind the bar, from his KITCHEN, to the front at least 3 times while my toddler child and I were using the arcade games. We waited for 45 minutes on a Saturday evening, saw other families and parties much larger than ours (with older children) play games and hang out. No once did he come out while they were out there. But he felt the need to come out while it was only 3 of us waiting to organize his shelf of collections, and all the arcade games. It was uncomfortable, I did not feel like we were welcome. And it certainly did not feel child-friendly. Therefore, if you have children under 5 years old, don't take them here, they most likely won't be welcome as contradictory as that might seem. Why would a restaurant have arcade games, clearly alluring to children, and then get upset that a child...
