Well, first of all you walk in they tell you to grab a menu. No one shows you to a table and no one really comes to the table to take your order. They yell over-the-counter the crêpes are just normal crêpes there’s nothing special about them. The mixed berry cream that day was just a blueberry cream. I would think that mixed berries means multiple different kinds of berries one of us ordered a Shirley crêpe, which is cinnamon, sugar, and butter. The very edging of the crate was good I would have to say but as soon as you got off of the edge, there was so much butter and so much cinnamon. It was like grease bitter. We also ordered a Bella crêpe which my grandson said was pretty good but again it was just a regular crate. Nothing special my daughter ordered a poppy crate. She said the strawberries was good in it and the Nutella was good and also they didn’t have homemade whipped cream, which was good, but really nothing special so three crêpes Nothing special. we also ordered a cappuccino a latte and my grandson ordered a water. They charge four dollars for a plain bottle of water and $6.25 a piece for the cappuccino and the latte and never asked us if we wanted a small medium or large, which on the menu there is three different prices and of course they charged us for the large. The cappuccino was terrible It was so bitter with no taste at all. I should’ve just got hot water I don’t ever add sugar to my cappuccinos, and I had to put two sugars in it just to make it have some type of a taste. Also, you cannot share anything else you will be charged five dollars a person also it is an automatic 20% gratuity. The only service that they actually gave us was bringing the food to the table. Was not ask if we wanted any refills on anything or anything else. I asked for a bill they said we just walked up to the counter and pay for it so we walk up there to pay for it. They tell me $66.11 so I gave him my card and they gave me a paper to sign and then ended up being $78 and something with their 20% added on gratuity and I don’t mind paying a 20% gratuity if you give me service because that’s what a gratuity is for. I would not recommend to go to this supposedly bistro Café, They do have a counter full of different kinds of danishes and croissant look really good, but some of them looked really old so not sure I would waste my money on those. It was a very, very expensive Little itty-bitty bistro with no service it was pretty much self serve was never asked how our food was or if we needed anything else. I do not...
Read moreThis was by far the worst customer experience I’ve witnessed no matter if you are stressed or have had a bad day, you absolutely do not treat another human in such disrespectful way. Especially not a customer. The guy hosting the store, without following mask policy, strictly preparing food and serving people without a mask seemed stressed. 1 guy zipping a coffee in the corner inside the place, and a group of 4 being served by him outside. They have just received their order. When I walked in with wife and child he already greeted us very unfriendly. He asked us to just sit down and he will come. 20 min later he showed up. I said that we like to sit outside. And he yelled at me for not wanting to serve outside because it’s to complicated for him. Just sit in here. I verbalized that due to COVID we rather be outside plus the AC was so cold that my wife and child couldn’t take it. I send out wife and child to wait and that I will bring the food out. 20 min later he showed up and I gave him my order. My 9 year old daughter came in and asked if she can have an egg on the side. He gave her an attitude and said no, he does not do that. She would have tk purchase a whole meal for that. How do you give attitude to a 9 year old developing courage for independence?!?! So I still remained calm and just borders an extra meal . As he was preparing the coffee I told him that I would wait outside and come back in to pick up my order. He started to yell at me saying that he does not want to serve outside. It is to much work for him. Although I offered to pick the food up and bring the dish back inside. He argued louder. I tried to explain that My wife and child are cold and like tk sit outside , as he also was serving others outside I did not see the reason why not. He got very irritated and angry and started to toss the coffee which was meant for me between cups. Like a child throwing a fit. Of course this fine establishment with such disrespectful and unkind customer service has lost my business and in fact the business of an entire film crew on top of it. Ice cold indoors and COVID threat should be respected . He discriminated on top of that. If you are wanting to make sure to have a good dine in experience , think 2 times before entering this place. You might meet an angry careless man serving you and...
Read moreI hate posting bad reviews, but this was ridiculous… he upcharged the food +4$ compared to what the menu said (although it did say at the bottom of the menu that prices were subject to change), the water glasses were dirty, water cost $4 (same price as a cappuccino or any other coffee on the menu), and our food was not cooked through. We had a table of 6 and we are servers ourselves- so we do understand etiquette and the hardships of the service world. Nothing was cleanly and the savory crepes that half of us got had entirely not cooked eggs- clear egg whites running out of the sides of the crepes. The vegan in the group just ordered a toasted baguette, and that was $6 and barely the size of a normal diner side of toast. The owner was the one serving and cooking (which we understand that can be difficult on someone) but it was not busy and he was very rude. The water glasses were insanely dirty, the worst any of us have seen. The food just didn’t taste good and nothing was worth the price; the service, cleanliness, anything that’s usually bare minimum expectations… Much better places to go. Go to the drive-thru Dunkin’ Donuts down the road and save yourself 100$ and stress.
Everyone got water, and a cheap meal. Average cost per person was $27 not including gratuity, which was automatically 25% (normal for the size...
