Not great for vegetarians.
I was excited to come here because it's hard to find bagel sandwiches in this area, and it's in my top favorite foods. I'm a vegetarian and was stoked to see they had a vegan breakfast sausage. The vegan breakfast sandwich also has vegan eggs and vegan cheese which I really don't like. The way their cash register is structured seems like you can't just add a vegan sausage to a regular egg and cheese bagel sandwich. Both times I've gotten it, I've been upcharged beyond the price of the all-vegan sandwich which is already priced $2 over all other sandwiches. I know vegan egg and cheese are more expensive than regular, but I've brushed it off because bagel sandwiches are the best, and I already felt like a burden asking for something custom.
Today, I was told that I cannot order the vegan sausage with regular egg and cheese. I told the cashier that I've gotten it here multiple times before but she held firm. So, I ordered just egg and cheese. Then, I go to the website, and I can order an egg, cheese and regular sausage sandwich and add vegan sausage to that for CHEAPER than I've paid every other time. I cannot understand why it's cheaper to have egg, cheese, vegan sausage, AND regular sausage vs the same sandwich without regular sausage. I also don't understand why I can't just add vegan sausage to a regular egg and cheese sandwich. These are literally all just patties that get slapped together, you just don't want to sell it to me. If that's your actual policy for some reason, I'll respect it, but it felt more like "I can't figure out a quick and convenient way to ring this up on the register, so no."
I'm a regular customer because I frequently have to work on the weekends and I always order multiple things throughout my stay as a curtesy, but I'm not coming back if I can't order the only item I'm coming here for.
Also, wild take to prefer me buy a $7 item instead of the usual $12 I've been upcharged without...
Read moreDuring my visit earlier today to the newly opened Blazing Bagels in Issaquah, I had an overall disappointing experience that overshadowed the positive aspects of their delicious bagels. While the bagels themselves were satisfying, the service left much to be desired.
Upon placing an order for two bagels – one plain with cream cheese and another flavor – I encountered an unpleasant interaction with a tall employee responsible for making the bagels. As he called out my order, I politely inquired which of the bagels was the plain one for my 7-year-old. To my surprise, his response was not only unhelpful but also remarkably rude.
Wearing a smug expression, he retorted with, "Can't you see for yourself?" The dismissive and condescending nature of his reply was both unnecessary and offensive. This raises concerns about whether his behavior was rooted in racism or simply reflected a lack of professionalism and competence in his role.
Such behavior is unacceptable in any customer service setting. Individuals displaying such disrespect and arrogance need to be held accountable. In my opinion, such individuals should be promptly fired and never offered a job in a similar role. It is disheartening to have such a negative encounter, especially considering that I had previously enjoyed the service at their other two outlets in Redmond and Bellevue. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with no desire to return to the Issaquah establishment, tarnishing my overall perception of...
Read moreI visited the Blazing Bagels Issaquah location for the first time today and the staff was very friendly and my order was prepared fairly quickly. It's a great open space with plenty of seating and seemed very popular as there was no stop to the people going in and out while I was there. I purchased an orange juice and a French Toast bagel with plain cream cheese. Sadly, it was my first time trying that particular bagel flavor and I wasn't a fan (that's just my personal preference though) and I prefer a thin layer of cream cheese on my bagels and mine had at least an inch thick layer on it. I wish I had taken a photo but the best way I can describe it is it was the equivalent of a thick hamburger patty worth of cream cheese. I scraped off most of it, ate only the bottom half and threw out the top half and the cream cheese. Please understand, I'm not sharing this as a complaint because as a first-time customer, I wasn't aware this is how they are served. I just wanted to mention it in case it would help others who may like bagels with less cream cheese to order accordingly. Simple lesson learned, next time I will ask for light cream cheese or on the side. Based on other reviews, it sounds like the sandwich with lox is a popular item so I will try...
