Fischer Meats — Local services in Issaquah

I was super excited to go here today. I haven't been to Issaquah in a long time and I wanted to explore Old Town. I saw the sign for this butcher shop and I love small town butcher shops. Sadly I was not impressed at all. When it entered the store there were two other customers in there and it look like four people behind the counter working. Two of them were taking care of the customers but the other two did not seem like they wanted to help me at all. They were wrapped up and doing their work, but what they forgot is that if people don't buy their work they won't have a job. So put down what you're doing and help your customers. Another thing that I really expect when I go into a small town butcher shop is to have some samples readily available. Of which there was none on the counters or on the tables that were in the lobby. One place that I really do like his Green Valley Meats over in Auburn Washington, they have so many samples you could practically get a meal there. Alas, I will not be returning to this...

The community is so blessed to have this long-time gem of a local business here in Issaquah. My wife and I were fortunate enough to locate Fischer Meats not long after we moved to town about 12 years ago. Personally, I am a fan of a one stop grocery trip, but these days, we will not purchase our meat elsewhere. It is well worth the trip down Front Street to make the extra stop, even in Issaquah rush hour!

This weekend was an extra treat. My wife wanted to prepare something special for Father’s Day, and after getting an excellent recommendation from the manager Josh, she surprised me with two premium T-Bone steaks which I had the honor of putting on the grill. Additionally, she was also able to pick up some treats for our four-legged daughter dogs, a bag of cut pipe bones which I also grilled for them. Needless to say, all of us had a wonderful weekend!
