Athena's Gyro House — Restaurant in Jackson Township

My wife and I both had Greek salads. The salad and dressing were excellent. I had chicken on mine; my wife had falafel on her salad. Both were excellent- no skimping of portions. 🤩

Prices seem a bit higher, but we don’t mind it for good Mediterranean food. However, for prices higher than Aladdin’s, we prefer table service, plates, silverware. (The food is served in styrofoam boxes with plastic ware and without table service. This cheapens the experience.)

Front counter person was patient and pleasant.

The cola: interesting bottled beverages that were new for us to try. The Diet Cola grew on me, with its flowery notes. I wasn’t sold on it though I grew fonder of the taste as I finished the bottle. 🤔

All that said, Athena’s serves very good Mediterranean, and is really the only game in Grove City for this...

Second edit: The restaurant is now open, staff are nice and it has a simplistic albeit plain atmosphere. Gyros smell and look amazing and they are generous with their portions and prices! This is definitely what I was hoping for here. Great job!

Old review: The only review doesn't state that the restaurant is actually not open yet. Once it opens, I'll gladly change my review, but it's clear that this 5 star is so they can start off well. I'm leaving a 3 star across the board until opening.

I've never been a super critical or professional food reviewer as I try to respect the business all together unless it runs a risk to my health. Plus I talk too much. Disclaimer aside I would recommend this place to anyone who's hungry for Greek. Got the traditional Gyro and asked to try the sauce so I wouldn't be wasteful of anything. I really liked it. Then when I ordered they offered it on the side 😅. The employees have great people skills one of the two ladies running the business that day had a genuine conversation with me while not letting my long conversation prevent her from doing her job.
