My cousin and I went here yesterday to enjoy the hot balloon festival. While we were ordering our ice cream I noticed a black man standing in the parking lot behind us taking photos- but I dismissed it figuring he could be taking photos of the ice cream shop + the balloons. We finished paying and getting our ice cream and walked over to the picnic tables in the back to watch the balloons while we ate. A few minutes after we had started eating, I turned around and the same man was taking photos of US this time. His phone was angled down straight at us (away from the balloons) and he made dead eye contact with me and smiled after I caught him. I told her to grab her things and there is a man watching us, directly next to my vehicle mind you, and that we were going. I opened her door and let her in to the car which left me maybe 1-2 feet from him. I did not break eye contact and I asked him multiple times why he was taking pictures of us, what he was doing with them, telling him to delete them. He stood there and ignored me with a smile on his face, I took a photo of him and the license plate of the car he was leaning on. As I was getting into my car, he walked into the ice cream shop. I returned the next day with my boyfriend and the photos asking to speak with a manager, i explained the situation, and she recalled seeing my cousin and i yesterday. I showed her the photos of the man and the car and her face fell- she told me it is their OWNER. The owner of this establishment, where teenage girls often work, was taking pictures of me and my cousin.
There are plenty of better places to get ice cream, with owners who AREN’T going to take gross pictures of girls without them knowing. I’d give them my money before...
Read moreI drove from Akron specifically to try this icecream shop I saw being advertised on instagram. I decided to go thru the drive thru since that seemed like the most convenient option I already knew what I wanted seeing as I drove 30mins I had already checked out the online menu and was prepared to order exactly what I wanted. When I got to the window to pay the young lady rudely snatched my card from my hand in which I was extremely surprised and taken back she then very rudely almost in a demanding way asked did I want to leave a tip on my card which confused me even more because her entire demeanor was giving off rude and very irritated which I had done NOTHING to receive that treatment &normally ppl don’t ask for you to tip they render service n allow the consumer to decide if the service was worth a tip. I then advised she could round it to the next dollar although I had a 5dollar bill I planned to still give her but I prefer to tip in cash to ensure the person waiting on me has access to there tip immediately. The young lady turned her nose up pretty much pushed my card and n the ice cream I traveled 30mins for into my hand never said thank you have a nice day NOTHING!! The icecream was undeniably good but with the level of service I received I will NEVER RETURN!! If I had not drove 30mins I would’ve requested a supervisor to provide me a full refund but instead I still thanked the young lady in which she rolled her eyes and I politely drove off!! TERRIBLE FIRST AND...
Read moreI was just here a few minutes ago with my family visiting from out of town to get some good ice cream.
It was our first time at this Bruster’s location. However, we were helped by one of your cashiers who had a real attitude with not only me but to my father as well.
Since fall is right around the corner I thought I would give it a shot to request a scoop of pumpkin spice flavored ice cream. The cashier glared at me with angry-looking eyes making me feel uneasy then said “we don’t have pumpkin spice” in a snarky-like tone.
My father was next to finish everyone’s order & as he went to pay, that same cashier sounded very demanding/passive aggressive when she mentioned that he had an option to leave a tip. He also chose not to leave a tip due to her poor customer service.
The ice cream was very delicious, but we did not appreciate this girl’s rudeness. This was a very uncomfortable experience being first-timers, & we are not sure we...
