On someone’s recommendation we decided to try this place. It does seem like a hidden building I’ve lived around the area for years and I’ve never heard of the place. I don’t believe they do very much advertising. There are companies that don’t need to advertise I understand that they seem to have a good following. My husband loves a good steak so we decided to try it. We started with calamari as an appetizer. We will often try calamari at different places. It was very greasy, but it was OK. He ordered the porterhouse, baked potato, and salad. On the advice of the waitress we tried the table red wine which wasn’t too bad. I ordered the 6 ounce filet, medium, Broccoli, and a salad. It was a holiday time period, and we went at a time where we wouldn’t have to wait too long to be seated. More people came in later. The waitress seemed friendly enough. Unfortunately, my fillet steak was overcooked, and had literally no flavor to it but was covered in butter. And when I say butter I mean several tablespoons of butter. Needless to say I did not eat more than half, and did not take it with me. I can’t remember what side I had, but it wasn’t good either and I didn’t eat it. My husband’s steak was cooked fine, but had no flavor and also covered in butter. He also told me that his baked potatoes seemed as if it was boiled not baked. If you know what I mean by that a baked potato is soft and fluffy on the inside not dense. When the waitress came to ask, I told her I didn’t really care for my steak or the side and was very disappointed as this was our very first time coming on someone’s recommendation. She apologized and asked if I wanted french fries. I kind of looked at her I’m sure in disbelief as if somebody that comes in for a nice steak, I would want french fries as a substitution. By this time I was so disheartened I really didn’t want anything else from them. I was very shocked to find the bill back to us with no comp on my meal. When booking the reservation for 6, two weeks in advance the manager or assistant manager taking the reservation was quick to say you only have 2 hrs at this table and will need to be out by 7:30 It was not what they communicated but the rude fashioned it was communicated. The tone was “ hey take it or leave it”. The call concluded leaving me irritated. Upon arriving on time we were immediately seated in the table we requested. Server was pleasant and salads delivered promptly. But then with minimal time to complete the salads out came the entree’s. One of our guest was holding her salad in her had try to finish to allow room on the table. In addition to salads we also ordered appetizers which was rushed. It was clear they were RUSHING our dining experience and Lucia’s was more about moving patrons through vs focusing on how their guest were enjoying the evening. Another note, their signature dish the large strip steak took $13 increase to $45. The steak was still exceptional but when raising prices the customer treatment, service and timing of food deliver should match the price of the dining experience. Saturday June 10th was a miss on taking reservation and timing of food serving. Simply stated it doesn’t feel good to be rushed when dining and treated rudely when making reservations.

Usually the staff is nice, but after showing us our table ( first booth near the door and near the waiting area) I kindly asked if we could possibly move somewhere less crowded and away from the door as the large party in the waiting area and the constant foot traffic was quite loud and we had someone in our party that could not hear very well . The hostess was not very kind about it and at first told us no, but then went back to the hostess station and showed us to another table. I felt as if she was extremely annoyed and figured we were being difficult.
We were sat and waited about 15 minutes before our server came over and brought water. I believe there was some confusion on which server had us as we could overhear the two servers expressing their confusion ( which was awkward). Overall the dinner was good and our server was pleasant, but as we left, the hostess who sat us couldn’t be bothered to even say goodbye as we left and just stared at us( the other hostess did).
